Even among the many fan-made games based on the Touhou Project series, I think this is one of the most remarkably polished. The characters, the graphics, the story, and especially the music—everything has completely captured my heart and refuses to let go. What an incredibly cute (and incredibly difficult) game this is.
Including this track, there are actually many songs here that I love even more than the music from the official Touhou games themselves. ‘A Hazy Omen, Staining the Open Sky’ has an oriental sound reminiscent of Japanese folk music. ‘Her Millennium Candy’ evokes the atmosphere of Tōryanse. And tracks like ‘Fae Rising From Seafoam’ and ‘Lazy Sands of Nakanotorishima’ feel as precious and colorful as a scattering of multicolored beads.
