Is it intentional for words including BACK (such as SWITCHBACK) to kick you out of the level? :sob:

In any case, great game.

Cute and fun!

(I found an exploit that gives me infinite height-- instantly stalling downward throws. Might be fun for speedrunning!)

MOONFLOWER achieved with Goodcookie777's recreation and no hints.

Really cool game! I made a list of achievements for fun (0ACHIEVEMENT):

  • 0CONTROL: move
  • Checkpoint: loop
  • Logic Gate: open
  • Homemade: re-loop
  • Gallery: center
  • Lights Out: un-loop
  • Instantaneous: between
  • Pushing Buddies: push
  • Indiana Jones: re-open
  • 0/2: cut
  • 0*2: re-cut
  • Anyone out there?: send
  • Nice catch!: re-re-re-receive
  • Negative Charge: re-re-loop
  • I <3 Sliding Puzzles: green
  • I <3 Sorting Algorithms: chartreuse
  • I <3 Circuitry: yellow
  • I <3 Layers of Complexity: blue
  • I <3 Sokoban: orange
  • I <3 Breaking Things Down: cerise
  • SUNFLOWER: I <3 rule discovery
  • Wall is You: solve the green side puzzle (Henry)
  • Watch Your Step: solve the two yellow side puzzles (lobster and scorpion)
  • Pit Stop: solve the orange side puzzle ([i cant read its internal name])
  • Cutting It Close: solve the red side puzzle (river)
  • MOONFLOWER: I <3 0PLAYER
  • STARFLOWER: all hearts and all side puzzles
  • I hope you used save states!: waste a send
  • Proficiency: sunflower in [?] moves or less
  • Excellency: moonflower in [??] moves or less
  • Mastery: starflower in [???] moves or less

Extremely helpful for visualizing movement! This seems to be an error though

The PDF version has the first two puzzles replace 3 through 5. I thought it was on purpose until I looked at the powerpoint :sob:

The presentation is really cool. I am completely stumped

I don't know what to make of the tromino theme. My best guess is that the goal is to fill spaces with color such that no two outlined regions share the same color, but then each hypothetical amount of colors is too few for solving or too many for uniqueness. There's probably some trickery around whether a square in the middle of a grid is an actual square or just a space between squares.

Until 1-A, I was thinking that the thief couldn't show their face to cameras... :sob:

Now I'm pretty sure that the thief destroys cameras, but 2-A seems to have multiple solutions. (counterclockwise from any corner... unless the given camera has to face up, but then there's not much of a puzzle)

Anyway, cool concept!

Very cool!

Is the solution to puzzle 10 to assign each vis aether to a triangle and create a single loop of the three vital aethers without start/end?

Cool! I have yet to figure out the twist, though...

I see the Spoiler button between Strikethrough and Lists. Must be new.

I may be more off-track than I thought. For 5-4 I was thinking the solution could be

  1. All orange, because there's no I tetromino in this shape.
  2. All white, because... there's no need for any other color, and there's no T-tetromino-shaped island. 1-C doesn't require any player shading, but I guess the implicit rule could be that it can't just be all white.

The book's answer code for 3-C doesn't make sense to me at all.

(Testing spoiler feature on image)

.

Apparently the cell I've marked with a question mark needs to be green? Even though that would  divide the white region? Also the bottom row allows for multiple solutions. Again, I may be way off-track at this point.

Amazing puzzlebook!

I don't understand how 3-C, 5-4, and Fin have unique solutions, though. (The two solutions I have for 5-4 have the same answer code, and I may be completely misinterpreting the Finale.)

BABA IS YOU AND WIN

I was right about the flowers! I wasn't sure if there would be any indication that I had solved the puzzle, but thankfully the margin of error was just generous enough. Cute and clever!

yeah

LEVEL IS SQUARE

FOOT WITH CLUE IS HIDE

ME IS ?

Is there supposed to be sound? Other comments seem to mention it but I don't hear any. I'm currently using Firefox on Windows.

...oh wait this is like years old. Anyway really cool game

Interesting concept. The levels range from very easy to very hard. I haven't been able to solve any of the code hints.

Bug report:

  • The final entry field in level 34 is one letter too long.
  • The "Support Us" screen that appears after completing level 50 gets covered up by the level select menu. Also, the "Home" screen says only 49 levels have been completed.
  • Sometimes the last letters of the level win message don't move with the rest. (Unless that's on purpose for some code?)

Cool little game!

Bug report (contains spoilers):

  • When selecting a target for ACTing (and probably fighting), Puppet Boy's name is "Dummy".
  • You can fill Puppet Boy's mercy bar by repeatedly sparing. This returns you to the overworld bedroom, breaking the game.
  • At the battle's conclusion, the game reopened itself after closing itself.

(I'm playing on a Windows laptop, in case that matters.)
