Not at the moment unfortunately!! It's something I want to add, though.

Hiya! I know it's been a while (9 months.... sorry about that) but I finally found a fix for the black background if you want to download the new version to try it out.

Your comment ended up getting me to clean up the project files a little and putting them out, so if you were interested in using them as a base in Gamemaker Studio 2 you can now! :)

hehe i was waiting for someone to notice these.....

I'll try and look into it. It'd require some work for a mac version because it makes some windows-specific calls but it's not impossible. I'm also not sure if I can compile for mac outright anyway so I'd need to check up on that too.

Hi! Sorry for taking a sec to reply, itch isn't notifying me about comments for some reason.

If you want to do it from scratch you could probably use something like python? This would be a lot easier than modding my app (see below.) The actual logic for the pet is pretty simple, it basically just queues an action and sets a random timer, then once the timer expires it executes the action, picks a new action based on the previous one and sets another random timer.

Personally, I molded gamemaker into being able to do this. If you have the knowhow you could probably use undertalemodtool to make a mod of it. Despite the name it does work for all Gamemaker games afaik. If not I've been wanting to publish the source code eventually, I just need to clean it up.

I'm not sure how well it would work but I did start working on adding support for multiple pet types so I could do over deltarune pets before I ran out of steam. You could define a new pet type based on Tenna and set the relevant var to your own pet, using the code from Tenna as a base/template. You can just replace Tenna's sprites and sounds directly, and this might be easier, but that still requires changing the animation definitions in the create event.

Anyway, I hope that made sense!! If you have any questions let me know and I'll try my best to help out.

my cat broke my second monitor so it's not something I can implement atm but its on my list!!

hell yeah! doing it in python is probably smarter than what I did lol (brutalising gamemaker studio to force it to work for this)

.exe stands for executable! It's the format windows uses for apps. It's smart to have some level of caution when downloading and using .exe files but I can promise that desktop tenna is safe :)

hmm I know the solution i'm using to make Tenna transparent can occasionally do this, but just to check; would you mind sending a screenshot of whats happening?

okay having tested myself it seems the bug was with Tenna. Pushing out a new build now to fix it! :)

so; quickly checking - you have

alarmEnabled = enabled

in config.txt

and alarm.txt is formated something along the lines of

// This first line is ignored.
1800
Alarm 1 Name

1345
Alarm 2 Name

If you do would you mind pasting the text of the files in a reply so I can test myself?

hi, sorry it took a while to reply - I was busy! Do you still need help with the alarms?

thank you!! it's a lot of work but one day you will be able to pet him......
