Wow that's amazing, the atmosphere is crazy. I was spooked out. The only problems were the controls (I think the controls is often messed up when uploading to itch, it's super sensitive) and how to find the cores. Right now the only clue is the distance on the corner, but it requires me to constantly looking at it and not at the actual game.
Wow this game is amazing, beautiful visuals, nice puzzles, really polished. The walls are a bit hard to understand, like it should be more clear that that is a wall that I can't look through. It took me a while to figure out the mirrors mechanics. I'm interested in what game engine you used, and how did you make the game playable right when I open the page, not having to press another button "Run game" like I normally would have?
Thanks for playing my game! I really don't know what kind of music would fit this, so I just picked the best I could. And yes, it is supposed to be some sort of idle game, you see the numbers go up and feel satisfied (I know I'm very satisfied when I saw the balls going around and breaking blocks :))). Maybe if I were to expand this, I'd add achievements and unlockables, and more upgrades, and I can even make a lose state as well (the blocks will constantly go down and you have to break it fast enough, but for this project specifically I kinda headed towards the no lose type of game)! I think that would make it much more fun. And thanks for the feedback about purchasing upgrades. That could definitely need some attention.
The game was really fun, it was really hard as well. I had to look for help in the comments before dying at 20k. But one problem I have with this game is that the clicking is only useful for the first 20 cookies. I would prefer completely delete that mechanic somehow, maybe give a free starter shooter or sth, or make the clicking stronger as well.
Omg this is fun. The color palette is nice, the music is very nice (I find that the sound and the fire kinda matching the beat, idk if it's intentional or not but that's very cool for me). It would be better if you also add control for arrow keys as well, I think for a game without mouse movement using arrow keys is easier. (imo, different from other comments but I don't think making holding the button to move several tiles is a good idea, the fire kinda require more precision and I think pressing the buttons is better)
Sorry for the late reply. I forgot to said it in game, and when I realised that it was too late, but the start is at the bottom left of the maze, and you can use the mini map to go towards that direction. Since the jam ended, I didn't have time, but I am working on the game page with instructions on how to play so that it would be much clearer. Thanks for checking out my game!
Yeah I think it might be related to that. I know you're not using Unity, but in Unity there's like if you want consistent movement you have to * Time.deltaTime which is the time between two frames so that the speed will be consistent. Maybe there will be something similar in the engine that you use.
Nice art. Game is a bit hard tho like I have to jump at like the very last second to get through the gap, and the collecting is also hard. Maybe make it so you don't have to click on the spot to collect, just click when the character is overlapping the item? Also I'd suggest you learn how to make UI scale better. It's something that everyone will face at least once so that's completely fine. Good job!
