Hii, I appreciate the callout, but no AI was used in the creation of this game. I avoid it like the plague due to my own strong personal beliefs as an artist and human being.
some automatic translation tools i use may contain ai, though. English is not my first language, so i do rely on those sometimes. I also use fiverr contractors for 2d art, idk if they rely on ai or not.
The situation with Lara (Lara's not her real name) is indeed an uncommon one. She's not a professional voice actor, she's a student with audio knowledge. She was originally a subscriber who wanted to contribute to the project while the audio system was still being developed. I thought it was only fair to provide her with the tools she needed, as well as fair compensation for every audio file she recorded. An investment in potential, if you will. If she decides to pursue voice acting more seriously, I'll be more than happy to promote her work in a dedicated post. She's a pleasure to work with, despite my perfectionist personality.
Since everything is still evolving, it made more sense to work with someone patient who likes the project and is willing to iterate than to hire a professional for content that would likely have to be re-recorded multiple times, wasting valuable funding and slowing things down.

I'm taking this maybe a bit seriously because this is one of my fears with ai, other than the losing jobs thing, not knowing what's real and what isn't. Not being recognized for hard work. Losing trust in in other humans. Creating a more isolated society. distopic ideas that keeps me up at night, that exceed the scope of this comment. Rest assured, no ai involved, and i respect and share your passion to call it out when a suspicion arises!! I'm more than willing to provide all the proof necessary to keep my beloved audience's trust. Keep questioning everything friend !
