Thanks, great catch! You were exactly right: the cubes that land after the last boss counted toward your score but not your best. It's fixed now and the update is live. Your next win will save the full score.

New: close-call bonuses for squeezing through tight gaps, a “so close!” message when you crash just short of the next level or your best score, and an “are you sure?” check on New Game so one wrong tap can’t wipe your checkpoint. 

Also fixed: sound now comes back after switching away from the game, and the top gaps are no longer hidden by the HUD.

Plus four different bosses and famous landmarks in the neon skyline.

Meet the bosses 👾 New Neon Hop update

Up to now every boss drone looked the same. Not anymore. Each one has its own design, colours, attacks and entrance:

• SENTINEL (level 5): the classic magenta hex drone. Learn the rules here.

• WARDEN (level 10): a cyan twin-pod drone with a glowing amber core. Watch the beams.

• REAPER: a spiked red diamond with blade arms. Sharp, fast, mean.

• TITAN: a huge purple armoured drone. Its plates slide open as it weakens.

Each boss rolls in with its own alarm, rumble, name banner and sound, and fires shots and beams in its own colour. The free version has Sentinel and Warden. Reaper and Titan wait in Neon Hop Unlimited, which also keeps going past level 20 with the same bosses in new colours.

A small tip for level 5: a shield helps. The game will remind you if you don't have one.

Also in this version:

• 20 famous landmarks drift past in the neon skyline, from the Eiffel Tower to the Globe in Stockholm

• Screen shake, glow, an ambient synthwave soundtrack

• Easier first towers, a retry button right in the shop

Fly through a glowing neon city. One tap, one hop, and gravity does the rest.

20 levels of neon towers, with a boss drone every 5th level. Slip through the gaps, grab data cubes and survive the final drone. Up in the high levels, some towers start to slide, so watch for the white ones.

FINISHED ALL 20? The full game has unlimited levels, harder towers and drones, and 2 extra upgrades.
