itch.io

Hiya, I'm looking for a game that I played from itch probably about 10 years ago? Maybe less? Sorry, it popped back into my head and I just really wanted to find it again! Here's some (vague) things I remember:

- Players character was a woman in a red swimsuit

- It was pixel art based

- Viewpoint was top down(ish)

- It was single screen. There was a swimming pool in the middle and she was collecting things around the sides of the pool.

- I think there were sunbeds involved, this might have something to do with the collecting part

- There was something French about it. I don't remember if it was the music

- The title possibly had the word "sun" in it. Or the word "swim" But maybe not!

- I think it was browser based?

I'm sorry, I know it may be a bit vague but that's all I can remember about it I'm afraid! If anyone has any idea what I'm talking about I'd love to hear your suggestions! Thanks :)

EDIT: It's not Swim Out!

Would It be possible to remap the left stick button press resolution change? I keep pressing it too hard when steering and it drives me nuts! lol!

This is incredible, well done Kweepa!

My Xbox (elite series 2) controller shows the wrong mapping of buttons. B shows up as A and X as Y. They are in the wrong place when you map weapons etc to them.

Wonderful, thank you very much! <3

Lol, very fitting! Glad you sorted it :)

Cheers!

The game is fantastic thanks :) Did you manage to find the bug in the end? Hope it wasn't too much hassle! Looking forward to your next update :)

If you choose "b" for woman on char creation, it still generates you as a man.

EDIT: Just to add, this is an incredible game! Well done!

Title. Steam version is 1.0.9, is itch several versions behind?

I do have one possible bug to report, when using a controller and moving on top of a pick up-able item, the bottom of the screen still shows the keyboard command above the list of controller buttons and it cuts them off the bottom of the screen (as in screenshot)

EDIT: Sorry my mistake, it is showing the controller command (x) not the keyboard command, but it still cuts off the other controller buttons at the bottom.

Thank you, looking forward to the new encounters!

Hi Julian, was just wondering if there was an in game command guide, or is it just the PDFs in the docs folder? Thanks for a superb game <3

EDIT: I'm an idiot. I should have known it was "?" for help with this being a Roguelike. Sorry, ignore me!

Thank you, that's great news! Haven't got a clue where I read it to, but I'm glad it's not true :)

Hey, I have a quick question about the general mechanics of the game. Does it have a time limit? I remember reading somewhere recently that it has a time limit of a month in game time where the princess will be killed. Thing is, I cannot for the life of me find that source again after SO much searching. Is this the case?

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, playing in full screen. I only thought about it because I was in game and wondered if I could quit back to the main menu to watch the intro! It's not an issue at all.

Anyway, thank you for all your work on this, been playing it all day with moody dungeon synth music playing in the background. It's definitely a vibe :)

(Amazing job on JSW on Vic-20 too BTW)

This is fantastic, thank you so much for concentrating on controllers. I was using the other Unity port and messing around with mapping keys to the controller through Steam. It was not nice...

Are there any plans on UI scaling?

Looking forward to Hold too, good luck :)

EDIT: Quick question, is there another way of quitting, or is Alt-F4 the only way? Am I being super dense and missing something? (This is the most likely answer).

That's good to hear, just bought it. Thank you very much :)

Looks great! Only thing I'm a bit weary of is the ghost coming after you, as I hate timers in games! Is it a timer thing or is it just random? How do you defeat it? (If you even can).

This looks great! Well done <3

This looks fantastic! Thanks for the demo, good luck with development :)

Did you just see the rope swing screen and then completely stop playing any further? It really isn't.

Hope it gets sorted soon, it's a great game!

Your download page has been quarantined by itch.

This was SO good! I would very gladly pay again for more content. I really loved the idea of you being able to flesh out the stories of characters by adding more channels. Anyway, thank you for making this, it was a horrible great experience ;)

NOOO!! I was really looking forward to this, I didn't realise there was a time restriction :(

Controller works with new update! (3.4.4)

Thank you very much :)

Hey, sorry for the late response (didn't see the email notification!). Thanks for the reply but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working still.

Just to clarify, It's a wireless Xbox One controller (connected through wireless dongle), I start the game up (with the controller already connected), use the keyboard in menu to select Settings->Input->Select controller->XBOX One S controller #1 but there's no response. I can see that the buttons are assigned there too. I wonder if the fact that it's wireless (not bluetooth) makes a difference?

Anyway, thanks again for the reply :)

I can select my Xbox One controller in the input selection option in settings, but it is unresponsive. Is this a known problem?

Hey there chum! Yeah I haven't really been too active on the internet for a while to be honest, had a few things going on but it's all good :)

Congrats on the release Sarah, it's fantastic from what I've played so far, thank you so much :)

What a lovely little place!

That was bloody excellent, thanks!

Well that was bloody superb! Genuinely gasped when Ashley had her revelation in science class :) Well done, really enjoyed it, top marks for the sprite work and choice of soundtrack too :)

What a lovely warm feeling I got from this when the music kicked in, felt like I was in my old bedroom again back in the 80's! Got 18 coins and the diamond, no bugs found as of yet. Have you thought of employing a different filter over the music for each system too, or different instruments so it's still the same tune, but sounds like a different machine? Best of luck with the rest of development :)

That was super unsettling, the entity which surges towards you was horrible. Thanks Dan, great stuff! :)

That was really good! Loved the artwork, and the mechanics are just right. Thanks for that, really enjoyed it :)

Thanks for all your hard work making this, just played through and loved it :) Had such a wonderful sense of atmosphere too!

Nice, that'll be a fun project. Good luck :)

Enjoyed that, well done :) Any more planned?
