Incremental + Reverse tower defense is a great idea with a lot of potential. The game is pretty fun. The current scaling is awful though. The early missions are pretty easy and are done very quickly, but the royal capital stage 10 is an insane jump up in difficulty, especially when there are nearly no more upgrades and you have to wait an hour for the next curse energy upgrade.
The game has potential, but needs some balancing.
I also think there are some ideas that could make this more interesting. Instead of stages, imagine if there was a world map. You'd choose which area to invade first, starting from a beginner village and working your way up to cities, holy lands, and the capital. If the map was large enough, maybe you could have different countries/nations that specialize in different towers like magic/holy/mechanical/tech etc, or maybe even an opposing undead faction. The possibilities are limitless.
There would be rewards for defeating advanced regions like relics that give you bonuses or boost your zombies. Of course these advanced regions would be significantly harder and may contain modifiers that reduce zombie effectiveness. Imagine a holy city having a city wide aura that damages zombies constantly. Choosing to invade surrounding towns and cities will reduce its effectiveness/radius.
A rebirth/prestige system would also be nice.
Its fun! Really reminds me of clickpocalypse 2 but combined with auto chess. Was hoping to collect all rares to activate all the trait synergies but party size is too small for that :( Stopped at level 52 when I happened upon an 8th rare in the shop.
Archmage and Aegis paladin paired with lifesteal/regen was such a good combo. Insane DPS and survivability even when the rest of the party was wiped.
Maybe a minigame of some sorts? But I think the pacing just needs to be adjusted. The first hardware upgrade basically takes up almost all of the required playtime, then the game snowballs and once you get server cluster trainings you instantly get the ghost ending. Are there other endings? I don't think I'd be able to get them unless I intentionally choose not to upgrade or train the bot.
Puzzles are nice and simple so far though I do hope it does get more challenging or more unique puzzle features. The gun/battery mechanics feels quite similar to the game "The Turing Test". Maybe you could get some puzzle inspiration there. Finding all the crooks and crannies with PDAs as well as the cameras all tracking you are great/fun details.
I feel like the story could use a little more personal background/detail about the player character him/herself though I understand the story is still probably a WIP.
Also batteries don't have collision with elevator platforms as they move. Not a big bug (Maybe its intentional?) but I do think there is potential for puzzles that require you to move batteries with the lift.
Also just curious, did you draw any inspiration from other games? If so, which games are they?

UI is off a little.
