I’m having some sort of medium-sized bug - I think I’m gonna lose a good run, but it might fix itself on a tab refresh. The stages on a level are not animated and don’t respond to clicking, but my artifact & relics are animated and doing fine. There’s also something weird where the screen is blank until I click on it.

I took a video showing it, if that might help? I haven’t posted it to youtube or anything, so wasn’t sure the best way to share.

ADDITIONALLY: love this game. I’ve always been disinterested in true roguelikes, and take to roguelites for the loose sense of a mission, but this made me Get it. Less punishing, more meandering :)

I forgot to mention that getting 9:59, then noticing that getting under 10 minutes is the goal, made it so much eerier. Like, only a moment more, and my soul would’ve been absorbed into this itchio web-browser game.

Awful. 5/5 stars. Weirdly hypnotic, to the point that I couldn’t pause to adjust the audio, which consisted of a good soundtrack and fuckin bizarre voiceline delivery that made me hate the playable character. Idk, it was deeply discomforting. Thank you?

This game is beautifully illustrated, beautifully composed, intriguingly written, and terminally broken. The wisp of a possibility that it could be fixed is unlikely, given that it seems to be the sole collaborative effort of a team created in a game jam.

If you’re interested in playing, you can complete the first level, but the second level (as experienced by me, and seen in Fort Kenmei’s video below) lacks a context key to move on.

With that being said, my theory for this unsolvable game’s narrative is: the Artist MC absolutely committed the murder, but the Assistant pushing to prove her innocence will solidify her guilt even more (although I’m hoping the twist would be that the Assistant attempting to “find out who framed her” would lead to the Artist successfully framing him, because this game feels like an unfair ending would complement the tone).

Surprised by lack of comments or ratings, so I’d like to say that I f*ck with this Heavy, it’s extremely replayable. And I appreciate the lack of AI used when many new games like this fall back on it. Oh, and I’m a big names/onomastics nerd, so I’ve been enjoying the French names a lot, it’s refreshing and oddly immersive vs. most games of any genre defaulting to common English-associated names.

Will be replaying and watching this game’s potential updates and sequels with much enthusiasm.

Where is the post-mortem? I’d love a bonus puzzle :)

So, I’m hopelessly stuck on the first level. I am extremely confident in this game’s design, and in it being directly up my alley, so I’m just going to list my theories below so you can… idk, subtly point me in any direction, haha

On a side note, I actually strongly prefer deduction/decipher/etc. games where there are little to no levels, which is partly why I’d like to get past this first level. I love Red Pearls of Borneo, and am addicted to Type Help, and both games hardly moderate how many problems or information are on your plate.

My current theories

The Half-Boxes are some version of quantity: old/young, lots/little (few/very?), big/small, etc.

The five non-boxed Xes are progress, as evinced by Fire.png (the Xes will now be detailed as 1/2/3/4/5). Likely some version of past/present/future, or recent/now/soon (there is no recent or now available). Both options could be done in 2/3/4 style, with 1 being birth/preconception and 5 being death/nonexistence, or 1/3/5 style.

As for the Lasillans.png, the Seven-Dot Box is likely age (aka time), but it might be referring to size (big/small, unknown), amount of legs (few/very, Seven-Dot means include), or even wisdom (few/very, Seven-Dot means know).

I am pretty stuck on Seven-Dot Box and X-Box, and probably lost/wrong on Empty-Half-Box. Is X-Box or Empty-Half-Box meant to be communication, i.e. message/important/include? I believe Seven-Dot and X-Box are time and Lasillan, but I can’t differentiate them. Or the Peeking-Man-Alien at the top of Chart.png is Lasillan.

Also, the ‘saving is broken i am sorry’ was cute, I randomly tapped on the save button every time I got frustrated haha, it became a way to blow off steam

[Possibly spoiling both the glyph trunk puzzle & the tree arcade puzzle.]

My amateur understanding of the tree arcade puzzle is that the arrow points from the starting point to the ending point (e.g. from white to red). However, you have to rotate the arrow (and thus, both the starting & ending point) when a circle makes an appearance. Based on the earlier puzzle (the treasure chest), a circle above = 90 degree counterclockwise, a circle below = 90 degree clockwise. So the circles cancel each other out when both appear.

Hope this helps! I'm stuck at a later part fwiw, haha
