Hey thanks for the thorough review W1K!

Although you did not have a hard time beating it, some people had more trouble. I think it is fair to say we had some balancing issue, especially with the pufferfishes as you mentioned which have been known to be run killers.

The concept of leveling down is a really nice one.

However, I don't really feel the "leveling down". It would have been nice to lose abilities, durability or dps to sell the concept.

Cool arcade game. The leaderboard feature is a really nice touch.

Cool little idle game.

As it stands right now, the onboarding is a little confusing, had to tell the effect of each upgrade as you purchase them.

First of all congrats on your first jam submission!

As it stands, the "writing code" gimmick is a bit too easy: you just have to mash on your keyboard while smashing the bugs with your mouse. It does not distract from being able to squash de bugs. An easy fix would be to have to type specific things rather than gibberish.

However it still a great first jam submission (of many, I hope!)

Simple yet super effective art direction, eveything ties together perfectly.

My only gripe is the "cranking" mechanic that gets repetitive and a bit hard on the wrist for me.

Thank you for your feedback and for playing the game!

Thanks for your comment and thorough review! ☺️

The pierce + double shot is indeed overpowered but it cost you 40 health in the same should to buy. For me it looks like a win-more kinda thing, if you had 40 beats to spare in the second shop you would have won either way. I'll let someone who was on game design elaborate more if I'm mistaken!

Edit : didn't see maxime already addressed this point :D

Thanks again for playing your game and I hope you enjoyed it!

Oh thanks so much Frovio, means a lot coming from you (and your team).

I really loved your art direction as well :)

Thanks Waldorf! Was on the stream, thank you for showcasing our game!

Oh I missed you on stream, I had to leave! Thanks for playing and commenting and ggs!

Cool idea :)

The walls were kinda hard to see however and the it sometimes felt that the visuals were too cluttered.

I also had troubles understanding/feeling the effects of the power-ups.

Thanks you so much Tofu!

Guess now you understand the heart butt element ;)

Love the artstyle and the narrative design :)

I really liked the overall concept and idea.

However, I couldn't really feel the emergency in the situation due to the lack of audio and feedback overall. It lacked a little "oomph" that would have really helped sell the concept, along with a more satisfying player controller.

I had fun nonetheless and congrats on the entry!

Nice interpretation of the theme. The visual feedbacks on hits are satisfying but the flashing white on the fully black background can be a bit overpowering.

I wished the controls could be improved somehow in the upgrades, as it is right now, I feel like I cannot "get good at the game" (but maybe I'm just that bad :D)

Had fun playing this nonetheless and congrats on your game!

The atmosphere and vibes are insanely good, the audio is just trippy.

Awesome entry!

Hey thank you for playing it!

(just saw you on chat stream and thanks for your kind words there as well ;) )

Thank you so much for playing our game and enjoying it <3

Thanks a lot!

Thanks so much for the kind words and for playing our game!

It's a common experience from what I've seen :D

Thanks for playing our game

The visuals are great! Fun cosy game :)

Cute idea :)

I really liked the concept, leading to short burst games!

My monkey brain really struggled to do smart moves though. I'm definitely trying to play this on local multiplayer when I get the chance!

The game has a really nice atmosphere and a mechanic that fits well with the theme. I enjoyed playing through it a couple of times!

However I feel like the melancholic idea of time flowing kinda clashes with the more cartoonish "toss the camel into the meat grinder" .

Thank you for playing our game and for your review :)

The second boss has a diffrent behavior than the first one with a slightly different animation but I can clearly see your point and maybe even a color swapped version would have been enough :)

Nice fit with the theme.

I had some issue with the controls, the character felt a little slippery. I also had a hard time seeing whether or not i was touching the numbers.

great job overall :)

The cartoon physics of ramming into a tree is so fun and so was the reference to the infamous rainbow road :)

So effective, everything just clicks to create the perfect "f** it we ball" atmosphere!

Had so much fun playing it!

Really nice interpretation on the count down theme., very ambitious proposition. It's too bad you didn't get to design more levels!

Had fun playing it!

Key was the last item I got in a round then when it reshuffled I got the door :)

Nice game!

I had a run where I the key and the door appeared at the same time very early on which can damage the experience. Also the ankh object was kinda OP for me on a second run. I think it could use a balancing pass, but I had a great time playing through it a couple of times!

Also the VFX and visuals in general were 🔥

Thank you for playing our game!

Nice game.

Maybe I missed it but I feel like it would be snappier if I could use the keyboard to redraw cards.

Cool visuals!

I dont know if it's a browser (I'm on Firefox) issue, but my cooldown indicator was leaving screen when i moved left.

Cool vampire survivor like with a nice twist to tie it to the countdown theme.

It could use more horizontal progression, but was already fun to play as is!

Simple and effective gameplay.

I feel like the auto-collectors are underwhelming, the only reason i was taking them was to unlock better upgrades. I was kinda hoping to know how many rounds it took for me to beat the game at the end!

Thank you for playing our game!

That's so nice, thank you for playing!
