Hey there! Wondering if you're still looking for projects to contribute to? I can offer something a lil different: an experimental interactive fiction (IF) based on homelessness, trauma, and finding love in dark places.
I'm looking for a Unity programmer who would be primarily focused on logic code/all the little details that run in the background. Let me know if you're interested!

Hello All~! ✨
A bit late, on my end - but I had no idea this thread existed until accidentally stumbling across it while looking for something else. XD Love the idea of a place for people to give intros/connect!
I'm LG -- creator + lead of experimental interactive fiction (IF) Pu$$y Trauma! A sapphic/WLW dark slice of life on homelessness, trauma, and finding love in the darkest places. While I'm not new to itch, this is my first time as a dev/game maker! It's been a long time coming and I'm so happy to be doing something so Important/Meaningful to me (and others)!
Looking forward to getting to know you all~ Best of luck on everyone else's projects/time here!! 🩷
Giving this a bump.
Recently lost a teammate due to IRL situation: Looking for someone who -- Mainly -- can work on/improve logic/code in Unity; a master of detail and tying loose ends. Those with less experience are more than welcome to reach out (we all have to start somewhere), so long as the passion and dedication to good work is there! This does not need to be a full time role, but I would at least need ~10 dedicated hours per week.
You can provide your discord if interested. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hey Ariel! I wonder if you'd be interested in joining up to help with my game -- it's an IF (interactive fiction), but with more graphic elements than most/UI + visuals you wouldn't normally see in an IF (think: experimental hybrid~). Something that I think would look pretty cool in your portfolio. I do all of the current graphics, but it would be cool to have someone else on board that could help out with more advanced bits!Sending you a friend request (never mind - you're not accepting any lol) Well, let me know here if you'd to potentially work together.
Thank you for letting me know! 🌈
How strange (re: different browser fix)! That could be a Unity thing.... but I've known other IF writers using twine or VN peeps using Ren'Py having similar issues when game is in-browser. Some just like certain programs better than others it seems. (whomp)
Regardless: I hope you enjoy! There are still a few visuals/bugs in progress to be fixed, but the heart of the story shines through~
Eyyyy~ My first comment!! Thanks for that! <3
Sorry to see it's (currently) unpleasant for you to read, however. I'm curious to what device you're using to play it? I've tested on both mobile and desktop and had no issues -- and you're the first to report it being laggy/'stuttery' enough to be noticeable. The one thing I immediately thought was if you had an unstable/weak internet connection while playing? You can also check here to make sure your device meets the min requirements (but, it's not like you need a supercharged gaming machine to play as intended!)
100% with you on having an option to turn off the 100% animation; that's actually one of the fixes UI teammate didn't get to. (They recently had to leave due to RL obligations, so now getting new member caught up~) This will definitely be included in a future build. However: There will be *some* pages that are animated for effect/you can't skip through. That's intentional. The first page, for example, is deliberately done that way, so you have to click through each line/not skip through it. As the game is now, however (outside first page/intro), you can click and the full text will instantly display, skipping the animation! No need to suffer through it if you don't want to!
Glad you at least find the premise interesting/want to finish it -- I hope you do! Please let me know if any of the above works out for you; I'd love to know what you actually think of the game~
Hi Colin!
Looked at the work you do, and wondered since you've made games for children with alternative learning needs (in - whatever fashion/form that may take), if you would be interested on working on a game that focuses on homelessness and giving an accurate, non-stereotypical portrayal of such.
I'm specifically looking for UI help + more advanced coding skillset within Unity (I've learned how to do basic coding in Inky, but don't really love it/not my thing). If you're interested, feel free to take a look at my game so you see what I'm looking for/expecting, as well as more info on the game itself. If you vibe -- I'd love to talk more on discord!
Hello!
Looking for someone interested in both UI + general (more advanced) coding/programming to help with my project. You don't have to be available all hours of the day, but I am looking for someone who can actually commit to being on a longer term project + keeps their commitments. I don't mind various skill levels who want to improve/enhance their current portfolios, so long as the dedication and 'get it DONE' work ethic is there!
I've personally taught myself what I like to call 'code lite' using Inky as I was getting frustrated relying on others who didn't come through when it came to deadlines; I also handle all other aspects of the game, so this will be a very 'specialized' role. (i.e. You won't be doing 50 thousand other things (unless - you want to! lol) - this will be your main focus. If you don't like front-end tasks/prefer making sure things are working in the background -- this role is for you!!
Feel free to take a look at my game so you see what I'm looking for/expecting, specifically UI-wise. Send a comment if interested and we can talk more on discord! Thanks to all interested~ <3
Love, Vagrancy, and Trauma~
A perfectly sapphic tale on survival, ending up homeless… and finding your (imperfect) soulmate -- in the worst possible place, at the worst possible time....
Pu$$y Trauma (an IF, passion project, dedicated to ending stigma and featuring real depictions of homelessness, street community and love) is now: Live!!
(As a creator who's been homeless: The intention is for this game/demo to always be available for free. 🩷)
