A similar approach can be applied to the frequency. The difference being the sweet spot isn't represented on a radar, but instead as a number you need to get within margins of. Same mechanics as polarisation, adjust the frequency number to match it within the margin of the actual number. Or just go all in and stack 100s until the tone tells you to stop.
Think of it as a radar. There is a sweet spot you need to find on the polarisation display (the bit of the screen that spins). You adjust the polarity values to increase the speed of the sweep. Once you get the correct spot you can fine tune the position for the highest F-Polarity value.
If you're unable to find the spot, consider changing the mode of direction of the sweep between left, right, and linear.
