i already posted about this before but idk if i made it totally clear what i was saying?

i really like the idea of furdoom, i was always drawn to it because i really like doom and i really like games where you can play as furries

a lot of things about furdoom do appeal to me, but what i don't like about it is that it completely sands off all the edges of doom

no longer is there any violence or blood, instead of a rocket launcher you have a goo cannon, instead of shooting real bullets it's lasers, enemies pass out instead of dying, it takes away a big element of the original game i really liked

i also really appreciate the new enemy behaviors, and they must have taken a while to implement, but i'd really like to have the option to play with the original behavior, i'm not always in the mood for imps jumping all over the place yknow?

basically all i really want is just an option or fork of the mod that allows me to play furdoom with more emphasis on the doom than the fur. i wanna go through blood-pumping, action-packed levels and through dark, creepy halls, without it being turned into a parody of itself. would that be possible at all? even without the changed enemy sprites, i wouldn't mind a mod that's literally bare minimum and only replaces doomguy and the weapons.

edit: i don't mean i want furdoom to be hyperviolent and edgy or anything i just really like vanilla doom and its tone and atmosphere but i'm also a furry

that might be a little dumb but idk i wanna feel like i’m a badass and i’m in a genuinely life threatening situation like in the original game, i just also want to be a cute bunny going up against demons with blood and gibbing, not a more sanitized version of the experience
