Run to the podium is a single-player motorsport game where you take on the role of a rookie driver and work your way up. The demo of the game has been released, and there are a few minor glitches (which i have highlighted in the game link) im still working on. So if you do decide to play, any feedback you have would be much appreciated.

Hi All,

I developed a motorsport game (Run to the Podium) in collaboration with my 12 yo nephew, who is a huge motorsport fan, and we have published the Demo version. 

The game is based on the career of a rookie motorsport driver and the demo covers six rounds of the career, and then stops. You start at the back of the grid, in the junior seat of the slowest team - nobody hands a rookie a winning car. 

You drive six races, find out what your team made of them, and then spend whatever you have earned in the factory to improve your car. Every upgrade is a gamble: some are a real step forward, some do nothing, some make the car worse. That is where the demo ends. Roughly ten-fifteen minutes of heart pounding, pulse racing gameplay that will keep you on the edge of your seats.

The full version is currently in development with a 20 year career playable, if you are able to hold your own in this competitive game for that long a period. 

Note - you might come across minor issues in the demo, specially in the pitlanes and on shorter tracks with cars piling up sometimes, those will eventually be fixed so please bear with us.

HOW TO PLAY
Arrow keys or WASD to drive your car.
SPACEBAR for the DRS boost in the green zones.
ENTER to book a pit stop.
Keyboard only, so it needs a desktop.

Different tyre compounds, tyre wear, pit stop strategy, safety cars, mechanical failures, team orders and a fastest-lap point. You can also simulate a weekend rather than drive it.
