from the very first peek into the main menu, i am greeted with a nostalgic sense of comfort. the music is slow and melodic, the chalk paints this gorgeous silhouette against the warm yellows, reds, oranges. moving forward, i am welcomed into a childhood summer, the sun slowly setting - and then interrupted all at once.

i love the textures, the physicality that reaches out to me from behind the screen, the scrawled notes on ripped pieces of paper, the gorgeous animation of cat's cradle. the clay gives me this sense of a game like hylics, which you use just as well in a sense of creepiness but also peculiarity that draws me in wanting more.

i so wanted to this be longer - i will really eagerly be looking forward to the extended version. such a lovely little piece of art <3

i've been waiting all day to play this in a nice quiet moment, set aside just for it. i'm very glad i did.

really intimate look into a personal, private part of life no one often talks about. whether it's death, moving away to some unknown place, or a falling out, trying to remember parts of a person you no longer have access to is an incredibly human experience. even the music used gives this nostalgic, warm-toned hue to it all, like the sunlight peeking through the curtains to have a tiny chance of remembering those moments, too.

really sweet and lovely experience in less than 500 words. thank you for sharing. <3

really excellent and horrible relationship on display here. i enjoyed thanh's POV very much, especially how blunt and forward her thoughts are. the bgs and audio do a lot of really good work to pull everything together. i feel like i was in a little submarine watching this all play out from the outside

i really like the visual design of this one! feels like im 13 again stumbling upon a website / forum im not meant to but i cant stop reading even as it is clear my eyes arent supposed to see this. i really liked the writing in the "alice" part where she describes her name and how she imagines it. the colliding writing and audio of the happy birthday music was gut wrenching, too.

really nice work! ty for creating this <3

thank you so very much!!! i'm glad that part especially spoke to you - it was hard to give Aldith some substance in her role but i'm glad we did well in doing so :)

if you'd like to view the scene transitions and hear some other thoughts behind the vn, the postmortem (1 & 2) may be of interest to you :)

ty for ur kind comment and taking the time to read <3

i knew when that when i picked this one up, i would absolutely fall in love with it - and i have, yes sir, yes ma'am. i'm not one for a western but it's executed so perfectly here. the writing is so high-level in its execution, as are the gorgeous collage art pieces scattered throughout (as well as the sprites). the vast sense of setting, of place, of consequence and past all blurring together. despite the little sound used, what is here is put to good, atmospheric use. i love the way the text box changes depending on internal thoughts vs external speech.

banger all around. really eager to see what yall put out next. til next time, pardners...

i think the commenters here have already done a fantastic job picking apart the insidious and gutwrenching nature of this vn. i will only be echoing their words in a much less accurately put together fashion were i to mime their praise. this is one of those vns that sit with you for a long while. so very masterfully crafted in terms of writing and art. thank you both for creating this <3

i reaaaaally loved the backgrounds for this. especially the one in the car when claire is freaking out. the portraits were also really unique. the writing was tight and very composed at certain points (i particularly liked the line near the end with c*****. censoring his name to avoid spoilers here).

ultimately im also in the boat of: "give me more," which is, indeed, a good problem as a reader. really excited to see what you make next. ty for creating <3

nice first game :) the visuals and vagueness in why their names are A and B until that moment revealing it was really well done. i think it did a good job depicting the bitterness that can hang over you in a situation like this, even when you really did do all you could have. ty for creating <3

the infectious manner in which Maud's intrusive thoughts cluster into an all-encompassing compulsion.... wow. the sick obsession there is with gore and the need to see it again, again, again, until it bleeds into your vision and it's all you can imagine when you close your eyes... you've captured it incredibly well. thank you for creating <3

really effective in so few words - kind of a punch to the gut, especially with the last screen. the visuals are simple but in a way that really serves the story. excellent little narrative... ty for creating <3

really tense and thrilling atmosphere / setting the whole way through. i really love the shift in character motivations and the colors used throughout. the cool 3d environments reminded me a bit of puzzle sections in like, VLR or ZTD. very cool and nicely executed story. ty for creating <3

kids are just weapons between adults, i think. that may not be the point of this vn, but it's a takeaway i'm holding close. this was a challenging read for me and so i've been putting it off, but i'm glad i finally did read it as someone who has many relatable experiences and complicated feelings with a mother. i don't think i'll be reading the letters, as the main event was more than enough for me, but you've really crafted something important here. thank you for creating.

the art and bgs and dedication to a painterly setting are really stunning. the characters are both very interesting and i want to know more about the both of them. it comes through as a tragic, mournful case of yuri rather than toxic, but i like that, and it is bittersweet in how it ends. thank you for creating this <3

ohhhh my god. this is really, really good. i love the backgrounds, the sprites, the cut-out feeling to everything. it went a much different route than i expected it to (positively). peanut is really really cute... ty for creating this <3

the style this vn manages with simplistic colored pencils, pencil lead, and scraps of paper is really wild. the amount of cgs / collages kept me fed the whole way through, especially with how artfully crafted they were. this whole vn harkens back to the days of childhood mean girls and some of my own experiences. this is a minor annoyance, but the pauses between text really soured some of the reading for me. i like reading at my own fast pace, and being forced to wait and unintentionally skip through text because i went too fast wasn't always fun. still, this vn is really thoughtfully crafted, and i thank you for creating it. <3

incredibly atmospheric, both in music and writing. very intriguing world that leaves you wanting more, more, more. felt as though i was reading hidden case files that were uncovered years later. every line is thoughtful and carefully weighed for what it may imply or do. really great piece of work. thank you for creating this <3

thank you so much for reading and reviewing!!! it means a lot that you spent time to think about our characters so deeply and pick apart our themes/how it applies to them.... <3

really punchy (heh) writing and gorgeous art! the world the story is built in is fascinating and i want to see more of it for sure. i really liked the half-tone bgs in connection with Dot and her name. the music was bangin too! all-around a really nicely knit narrative. ty for creating <3

thank you so much for reading and reviewing!!! 🥰❤️

depraved, disgusting, and hot as fuck.

spoilers below

i'm not typically one for daughter / mom stuff, even if it's faux. simply not my yum most often for personal reasons. but you've handled it incredibly well here, touching in on trauma and their relationship sooooo well. the dangerous bond that forms between the two for many, many reasons is carried out in a very realistic way.

the colors and bgs are also so striking. with so little, you've done SO much. this one is really going to sit with me for a long time. lots to chew and swallow.

thank u for making this. <3

kind of a modern day Misery. the art / audio was superb, and though im not in fandom space as much anymore, this brought back plenty of memories from my time on spaces like tumblr in the 2010's. really creative gui / chapter transitions, subversive in ways i didnt expect. very nice work, ty for creating <3

i had to approve your comment for some reason (thanks itch), but thank you so much for reading and reviewing!!! ^_^ im glad it could affect you as such...

"it's all fucking baseball. you don't get it."

kailot games always really truly are very human, and at the core of their games, that's what it boils down to. human experiences, truly believable heart and soul, people that could have lived and maybe are still living. even if i didn't understand half the terminology that only goes to show how connectable and heartfelt the themes these two cook up, even when writing about a sport, even when it will inevitably be read by nonsports people like me.

ty for creating this. <3

very charming presentation and art. the use of sound effects were really well-thought out. shame and kink go hand in hand, and you delved into that quite well here. thank you for creating <3

really intense and interesting foray into this kind of content. really enjoyed the character portraits and the stylized art of the discussed gore. tasty little vn, ty for creating <3

thank you so much for your kind words and review!!! as well as the breaking down of some of our themes 👁️

ooouuu amalthea and elysande would be friends i think.... thank you so much for your kind words and gorgeous art, it truly means so much!!!! im glad you got a lil reading in, we def talk about it more in the postmortem! TYSM!!! <3

a lot of really cool ideas in under 2k words! i like the minimal locations, the music makes me feel as insane as i may working in an office like this, and i like that we know as much about Caroline as Anise does - which is to say, nothing, aside from the thoughts our / my neurodivergent brain projects onto people we hardly know. quite good.

thank you for creating <3

only near the end did i realize how the narrative was being presented, and honestly it was quite clever. the sprites and animated little movements really make these characters feel alive. really intriguing story that i want more of, ty for creating <3

the beginning music is really peaceful. and the end song is sung so softly and sweetly. the artwork/sprites and how expressions change is so cute!!!

i will admit i have very little experience with reading about plural systems but i enjoyed this as one of my first forays into the headspace of it all. the ending made me quite sad, but it also feels sort of bittersweet.

thank you for creating this <3

i really like the artstyle, the art style is reminiscent of beastars but with a cute edgier (positive) and yuriful flair. the backgrounds are really nice too, kind of like jumping out of a manga panel. i do think it could have benefited from more time spent developing the relationship between Olivia and Mary, but i did like what was there. story that made me feel not good (also positive). ty for creating this <3

TYSM!!!! i love how you pick their relationship apart and look at it... there is much subtext indeed :) ty for reading and reviewing with ur lovely thoughts <3

the "waiting for godot" of baseball.

the prose that builds upon itself and rehashes each word into something different, something new each time it is repeated, is particularly of note (and beautifully done). the aspect ratio and chosen color scheme of red, red, red - bleeds through in the setting, the words, the actions, the sweat and tears of a girl who cannot help but linger.

gorgeous work as always, jill. endlessly proud of you and always eager to read your next work. <3

very interesting soundscape and concepts here. kind of gives me lost records vibes? gorgeous backgrounds and really expressive faces from Val. uncanny in a good way! ty for creating this <3

compelling black and white illustrations paired with an intriguing little story. despite so few words being said, so much is conveyed. ty for creating this <3

really lovely art and cgs! the story is quite good, though i felt some of it could have been edited down a bit or even put into a nvl mode for easier reading. i really liked the design of the characters, they all felt very unique and stood out from one another.

ty for creating! <3

very interesting story with a heavy dose of religious trauma! i wish we had some more background on who the girls are personality wise, maybe a flashback to what it was like between them before Mimi told Val how she felt? otherwise i liked the art and concepts at play here a lot!

ty for creating <3

TYSM!!!! "to desire purity is to be doomed to a life of always having dirty hands"... you get it so much. breaking down our story like this really means a lot that you've read so much into it. ty for reading and reviewing <3

codependency and delicious messy relationships make for a really fucking good vn. really yummy ui and way of displaying sprites/backgrounds (gives me Who's Lila vibes). i wish you had pc / mac / linux builds as well as the html one so it would be easier for others to play, the options menu wouldnt close out and i had to figure out a way to fullscreen / undo / refresh the page a bunch.

still, that doesnt detract from the really twisted relationship thats crafted so well here. thank you for creating this, i really genuinely love it a lot <3
