It should start once you get through the events of Act 1. I would maybe try redownloading it if that doesn't work?

If you want more lore, make sure to get to Prieston. I have suspicions based on the eye colors in his animal story...

You have to play the game through at least twice (it will loop you over to the beginning). Each time when Jestyn is having you meet the puppets, try to get into Crownus's room. The first two times can be played normal. On the third, go to Crownus's room. You should see yellow text that says "here". Click on any yellow text you see. After that, go see Wizzy. Again, hit the yellows. Only ask about the king and his relationships with other puppets, nothing else. Do the same thing for Knighter, yellows, king, relationships, nothing else. Don't let Jestyn follow you when the choice comes up after. Ask Butley about relationships with other puppets (you won't see yellow) and nothing else. You'll get to see Prieston and see a lot more lore.
