So far, I'm finding this version more interesting than Carnal Coup. I tried to play Carnal Coup a bit on steam, but I didn't like it much (to be honest, I found it confusing on what I had to do, a guide would be appreciated)

Proporitonally, I found Carnal Voyage much more fun and interesting to play. I might actually give CC another try at later point, although admitedly it's fairly low priority on the list

This isn't abandoned, steam version has 0.91 version. They just don't want to give people free stuff anymore.

I recommend waiting until we get version 1.0 then we buy it on steam

there were only 3 Visual Novels that ever made me squeal in excitement like a little girl whenever an update came out, and keep making me squeal while I play it. 
Slay The Princess, Void Dreaming, and this one.

The dynamic between the King and Rei is super fun, and super interesting to see, King somehow is able to make even the most corny of lines sound incredibly cool and based when he speaks it, and Rei calming him down is sfhsofhawwd I LOVE IT

This is a 5/5 just from what we were given so far, but the fact that this will even have a 'gacha' of multiple other characters being summoned.. I think I might just explode when that update happens.

If you know a machine translation system that can be used, i'd be glad to play in chinese

If you believe that doing short standalone VN's is the better way for your health and motivation, then I say that you should do it. It's better than pressure yourself with more content

I do hope we get NSFW content in the next VN's though
