TY! The controls are unfortunately the most problematic aspect of the game

Unironically one of the toughest game I have played so far in this jam. The invisibility + really tight set time really makes you sweat. I have only played the first couple of levels, but I already have to retry them many times already.
Like the comment below me, I also feel like I have to spam space multiple times just to get the gem.
But I enjoy the art and animations of the game! Overall very solid game!
This game felt confusing to play. There’s no clear indication of where the goal is, and I can’t seem to win a level after trying out the first 2 despite multiple attempts. I’m not sure if I missed the goal, or it wasn’t there.
The art is also unfortunately quite bland and there are no music or SFX.
The movements are pretty smooth though, and it can be quite satisfying.
Pretty enjoyable game! It’s pretty hard when you don’t know that jumps can be infinitely stacked, but after knowing that the game becomes much easier to play. I also quite enjoy the art style!
Though there are still times when it’s difficult to get a certain number without losing HP. Also it seems like the music and SFX are strangely quiet for some reason.
I have to admit, the countdown being used for both the level making and for playing the level itself is very clever. It really makes you consider and think critically. Do you make the level harder but give yourself more time, or do you make it easier but get less time?
The game is a bit short, and I can’t play the 4th level for some reason (Maybe it’s the same as level 3 from the thumbnail?), but nonetheless, I find the mechanic creative and I think there’s a lot of potential in this game
Pretty fun game! I quite enjoy the mechanics and the presentation, and I think the music really fits with the song!
My only complaint would be that the beginning shouldn’t have so many available upgrades. It’s very easy to get really OP very early and make the game a bit too easy.
Otherwise, good game!
Pretty enjoyable game! I quite enjoy the art and the general gameplay. There’s a few problems with the game, but since you and many others have already pointed out, I’m not going to repeat them.
I do feel like the music is a bit too quiet and could be boosted up. Also for the interact gesture you can add like a “Press [E] to interact” or something similar.
Overall, solid game. It has some flaws but they still make for a nice experience!
I think there’s definitely potential in this game, but the game is unfortunately a bit short, and like many comments suggested, a bit too easy. The lack of music unfortunately does not help either.
Still, I think the characters are cute, and the idea of the game is not terrible. Just that the execution could be better!
This game is absolute cinema ✋😭🤚, absolutely love the presentation here, although the gameplay themselves are a bit rough
Here’s a review every minigame I got: (Got the OK ending)
- Get A Date: Honestly I skipped this one twice lol because I don’t really know how to play. I did kinda try in the second time I got it
- Meditate: Frankly, this one is almost impossible. Got this twice and failed within the first 5 seconds
- Eat Healthy: This one is also very luck-based, but by some miracle I succeeded it (Got very lucky with a cluster of healthy food)
- Marathon: DNF unfortunately, kept getting my progress resetted
- Rhythm Game: Got this twice and DNF twice. The input felt very inconsistent, sometimes I hit it, and most of the time I don’t. It’s not very fun to play lol
- Clean Your Room: Only one here that’s easy to done, and honestly it’s not much
- Get A Job: Another one that’s fortunately easy to complete
- 6 Pack: Another easy to complete one, not much to say
I have a lot of fun playing this game. A simple premise, but challenging and quite a brain-teaser.
I do notice in my gameplay that my Focus stat was constantly running out, and that my Physics and Inspo stat is almost always full, whereas the Room stat is kinda fluctuated (I don’t think I used Talk With Friends, if that helps).
The graphics are cute (although the selections do feel a bit out of place), but I do wish there were some cute music to accompany with the gameplay.
Overall, very solid game, love it!
Just saw your review in my game! It’s funny that we both have a similar idea, but your game was a lot more polished than mine lol.
I quite like the environment and atmosphere of the game. I guess my only real complaints is that there wasn’t more things to photograph and that the game’s performance definitely affects how the game feels, but other than that, I enjoy the idea and the execution!
This is a really solid game for me! The premise is pretty simple but decently challenging and the obstacles can make you think hard before making decisions. My only two complaints about the game is that wait time between sections can seem long and that cannons can still attack you even if you are technically out of view of them from stray bullets. Some people say the art is a bit flat, but tbh I don’t find it a problem.
Overall, great game!
I know this is probably not your fault, but this game is very frustrating to play.
When you first started the game, you were flashbanged every 5 seconds, making it impossible to avoid the coins or to play at all. Not to mention the poor performance that came with Unreal games adding to the frustration.
Overall, a game with a pretty interesting idea, but the game itself is just very annoying.
I like the music though, really adds to the atmosphere of the game.
Pretty OK game. I like the idea of using gambling as an extra way to earn more money instead of just selling weapons.
However, the game suffers a lot from performance issues, making it a quite frustrated experience.
Some nice addition to the game would be adding a crosshair to know where you are pointing and having the bet section as a sort of machine in front of the player’s table instead of just a poster to make it more clear what the player’s going to do.
Overall, nice game.
A pretty challenging game, as you have to constantly monitor the player and making sure they don’t fall on the ground.
My only two complaints are that sometimes the game doesn’t reset immediately after the player falls out of the screen for some reason, and that sometimes the platform makes the player bounce really high (out of screen), which makes it hard to know exactly where the player is and where to place your platform.
Other than that, great game.
Took me 29 strokes to finish the 9 holes (mostly because of the first hole, LOL).
Not a very visually appealing game, but I have to say the execution is pretty good, and I like the idea of the hole acting also like the golf instead of just you moving it around. It challenges you a little bit to try to guess where the hole and the golf is gonna meet after each stroke.
Pretty good game, although the AI is unreliable (you can’t guarantee that it will go the same path the next time you build the map because of its jumping mechanism), so you have to place things and pray that the AI will go in the same path as you planned it to go before.
Other than that, pretty fun game.
The experience is pretty OK, but the game seems to be pretty buggy.
When I first loaded the game, it refuses to let me plant my slimes. In the next few tries, I was only be able to test the game for a little bit before the game crashed.
Not a great execution, but the idea is quite intertesting.
And the music is prety good though.
Pretty enjoyable game. Got 738 points in nearly 9 minutes.
My main complaint for this game is mostly on the controls. The clicking is a little bit unresponsive and can result in you losing points without actually executing the abilities.
The camera moving is fine, although the W key doesn’t work for some reason, so you have to use both the cursor and the keys to move around.
The last part of the game where there are a few innocents left is a bit tedious, as you have to zoom in and look around the map to look for the innocents, since they are pretty tiny.
Overall, pretty good game.
I don’t know why, but this has to gotta be one of the funniest games I have ever played in the GMTK jam submissions.
Just the fact that you have to both escape the villager and running around finding other animals hoping that they would give you whatever the villager want is both funny and terrifying at the same time. It makes you go, “Where the frick is that one thing that the villager is looking for!?” I don’t know man, it’s just so funny to me.
My only complaint would be that the dialogue is too slow, and I wish there’s an option to skip the dialogue, but other than that, great game and great execution!
Have to say, this is one of the finest game I have seen from the batches of Unity games entering this jam.
The game is quite hard, sure, but not impossible. In fact, it’s pretty enjoyable actually from my view.
The game also requires you to consciously paying attention to both money and your HP, which I think makes the game a bit more challenging yet still keeping it fun.
Overall, a decent game. Not the best game out there, but better than most.
This gotta be one of my favorite submissions from the jam so far!
The blues music makes me wanna dance, the gameplay isn’t too frustrating (and in fact quite satisfying), and the UI is simple but effective!
My only real complaint is that you shouldn’t lose when going outside the border. Other than that, great execution
