Clever, I love my character getting faster and the hourglass empties. :) And the different ways it's held, starting with dragging it along and then eventually on the back, is a nice touch.

Fun puzzle game! I didn't really understand how a couple of the power-ups worked but maybe I'm just brain-fried after playing games for three days haha. One of them said it scores +20 for values that appear multiple times in the chain, but I couldn't select a number that already appeared in the chain.
Lots of fun though! Will play a few more times. :)
Queen County Unsound Transit?! I spot a fellow Seattleite. :)
I love the visual style! I played a second time just to drive around and look at everything. I also appreciate the timer not going down as long as I was accelerating, if only that were true irl, maybe the 8 wouldn't be late all the time...
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed :)
Yes, the TNT and the ladders are utterly broken! Those item mechanics went in towards the end while we were doing the world design and we just didn't have a chance to fully balance them with real play testing. I think for the scope of the game jam it's sort of okay that you end up easily demolishing the world, since it's kinda fun to just blow it all up anyway. In a more fully fleshed out version of the game we would absolutely balance it a little better.
Clever and unique concept, I really loved stumbling around looking at words and noting them, then seeing my guesses fall apart when I re-discovered the word in a different context. :) Also I love the sky island world!
I think with some polishing up of the UI and some gentler onboarding/tutorial this could be a total gem. And honestly, as a game the made-up language is fantastic and it's fun, but it could be a really cool way to learn a real foreign language!
Very enjoyable! I love games that get people thinking about political decisions and how leaders shape the world. With some expanded mechanics, perhaps around societal stability (e.g. happiness), some polish on the presentation and UI, and some chill visuals and music I think it could be a fun little game. :)
By far the most creative and interesting take on the theme I've found so far. I LOVE this game! The artwork is beautiful and the mechanics are so much fun. The looping around the planet and balancing which tools to invest in, the need to spend resources to continue progression, eeking out just a little more progress per loop. Just so good. <3
I would buy this!
I really loved this! The music and the clockwork movements got me into a flowly meditative state, and the presentation is great. Some minimal shapes, a good color palette, and well-considered animations. Lovely!
Only tiny feedback is it'd be nice if I could use my arrow keys instead of clicking, that way I could really keep my focus on the action area and the timeline instead of being sure I'm clicking the small targets when I want to switch modes.
Also, truly, the music is exceptional! I'd buy a small album of ambient tracks like this. :)
Thank youuu :D Yes the TNT is too powerful, fixing it and the ladder would be some of the first things I would fix. The power of the items is sort of in direct conversation with the design of the level (both rewards and exploration), so balancing it is actually a little tricky.
Glad you enjoyed my manic 4am level design at the bottom of the world hehe :)
