Thanks for playing through it. Your point about the first question is useful: the evidence categories should be an optional nudge, rather than tell players which records to connect. Roughly how long did your run take, and had you played document-based mystery games before? No need to replay it.

Update: current printable opening
The download is now The Night the House Went Silent, a free English print-and-play opening for two adults. It replaces the earlier browser build described below.
The current ZIP contains three PDFs: a read-first guide, one print file and optional bookmarked help. Print the single print file on 15 A4 sheets, single-sided at actual size: 13 evidence sides and two covers. Bundle A is pages 1–12; B is pages 13–15 and stays closed until checking O2. Join pages 11 and 12 back-to-back with glue or tape. Scissors, a pencil and shared note paper are needed; envelopes are optional. Questions and help can stay on a device. Solo feedback is welcome too. No game master or secret roles. Target playtime is 20–30 minutes, not yet measured; printing and preparation take additional time.

Please report your relevant mystery-game experience, solo/pair, preparation/play time, the first unclear or unfair clue, hints used and the clue that changed your explanation. An unfinished attempt is useful. Mark spoilers. No payment, donation or positive review is requested.
AI assisted the writing, puzzles and code and generated fictional images. Recordings are transcripts, not audio; no AI runs during play. Earlier playthrough feedback below refers to the browser version.
Original browser-version post (historical)
I’m developing The Wrong Case, a short, text-first mystery. An old concert recording seems to contradict an accusation. Work through two evidence-based investigation steps to find its missing continuation and reach this episode’s ending.

Desktop browser; English. Preferably try it as two people sharing one laptop; solo feedback is welcome too. No printer, real audio or outside research is needed. Optional hints are available.
Text and code were made with AI assistance; no AI runs during play. This is a complete short demo episode, not the unfinished longer game. Playtime hasn’t been measured, and you can stop whenever you want.
I’m looking for specific feedback:
1. Roughly how long did you play, did you finish, and did you use hints? If you stopped, where?
2. What did you think happened before the ending? Which clue changed your interpretation? What felt dull, unclear or too obvious?
3. If you played together, what did each of you notice or contribute? Did one person have nothing to do?
Please avoid spoilers in the first reply; a reply saying where you stopped is useful too. No purchase or positive review is expected.
