Honestly , great fucking game , it integrates with the theme really well , better then most games i dare to say , the strategy aspect is really fun , and it kept me playing the game for multiple runs , not just 1 or 2 , my only critique is that it took me 5 runs of losing to the slime to figure out BY ACCIDENT you can discover new potions , my initial instict was that new recipes will just show up in the book by progressing trough the game

Thx for playing the game and i'm glad you liked it , regarding the Menu i've always liked games which use as little UI as possible or starting the game directly on the titlescreen and when i saw the posibillity to do it i had to , THOUGH 1 thing i will have to adjust is make clearer what is the order of play for the levels
idk if people can see the comment i posted on the main page so i will also post it here :
For the Level "Globally Availible" i forgot to put the following rules which are always active : 1) Heat must be = 2 when introducing any ingredient 2) Seconds must be divisible by 5
sorry for the mistake, I only had 2 hours left before the deadline to write the book :P
i think i found an additional point of confusion when it comes to the book , i kept writing add heat 2 , or add even time or this kind of writing , when it comes to time and heat i mean adding an ingredient ON heat 1-2-or3 , and ading an ingredient ON an even second

sometimes due to the web build the cauldron might grab ingredients out of your hand so try to not hold them hovering for too long , i'm also sorry for this ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// after seeing a few more of my friends playing the game here are some tips: the play order of the levels is top left shelf to bottom left shelf then go onto the right shelf color of the cauldron = mistake counter also i did not add nearly enough time for the levels especially considering you are expected to go back to the book when a mistake is made , sorry about that too i wanted to implement bookmarks for the book or at least open it at the page you left it but did not have any time left

also sorry if you experience jank physics like teleporting objects I did not get to test as i have submited 20 minutes before the deadline
Also it did not occur to me to also put a downloadable version and don't know if i'm allowed to change that now (not risking it)

nice game i played around 5 matches of it and i am not sure if i'm just bad at it or if it is currently unwinnable
I LIKE the art , i really like the art , it's not a lot of it , it's simple , but DAMN it does the job
1 thing i don't like about the game is how the hands slowly shift closer together to each other , not sure if it's a feature or a bug but it makes it hard to actually defend the center because you always have your backline open for attacks whilst having no money to build it back
the audio gets to you after a while...
nice game , but it has issues..
constantly depleting life is a nice idea ,and recovering it trough melee makes me think of doom
on the other hand aproaching enemies is not that fun , you can't really dodge and aproach due to the sheer amount of clustered enemies ,but even with 1 enemy due to the weapons firing intervals and lack of indication , you are bound to get hit as you melee 50% of the time
you can revisit the same shop and it will be a new shop every time so you can just infinitely reroll until you get what you want which defeats the purpose of choosing in the first place
the game is very short , but with the time constraint of 4 days it's completely justified , but the size of the game does a disservice to the upgrades because you don't get time to build anything around them
short and sweet game i reccomend it
took me 2 runs to finish it , first one ended at 55/60 ;-;
the atmosphere is great , and i really like when everything breaks
the autoclicker that goes against you is a fun idea but not really impactful
UI could be improved a lot though, it feels completely separate from the game at the moment

sorry for the very late response , i quit in the first level at the zig zag wall section that then jumps over water , the water should have 2 rombus like structures to the left and the right , you jump right inside the castle and on the floor there should be a red carpet , here is some additional information that may help , the data was lost when i refreshed the browser , also the browser i am using is brave , when i try to play all three save slots say new game , It also may just be an issue on my side , is there some sort of manual save/export ? if yes i might have missed that which would make sense . if you need any more info feel free to ask , even though i might respond a bit late again ,
First of all , my written english is quite bad so excuse me if in some places it is hard to understand what I mean or I misspell stuff
maybe you know, or maybe it is broken only on my end , or maybe it is a webgl issue , but at the moment the game is unplayable at the moment which is understandable because this was a game jam project and I guess it was rushed , so here is a list of issues I have with the game at the moment ,bugs and mechanics :
BUG 1 - At the moment the camera is busted to a degree I have a hard time moving or attacking which is the main issue , it may be because of the camera pan feature.
BUG 2 - if you stand still and dodge sometimes the mugs go underneath you and leave you floating and you can completely leave the map, I guess there is no force pulling the player down at all time or something like that?
ISSUE 1 - when you defeat enemies they drop orbs of healing which say (S) or (L) which first I assumed is the key I have to press in order to collect them but later I realised it meant how strong the buff was I recommend instead of putting a letter in the name represent it trough visual stimuli for example making the orb bigger
ISSUE 2 - the combat is not really combat , at the moment it feels like you just have to take whatever damage the enemies throws at you while you inch them down, I still wasn't able to get past the fight scene because of this , there is no reliable way of defending yourself or recovering health because the health only drops when you kill the enemy and often times you take more damage then you get healed
there probably is more to say but this message is already long enough and probably hard to read , we are both on the "Indie Dev Feedback" discord server so if you want to talk more about this just DM me or send me a ping or something , I also have a small recording of the bugs if you think that would be helpfull to you
I hope you and your team have found this feedback helpfull and I don't think I have got anything more to say for the moment , as I said , if you want to talk more feel free to ping me.
