Eva, Ally, Elli, and Eris are clearly the most overpowered characters.

Elizabeth is kind of a meme character that forces you to do quick math and unit conversions to actually win. It's pretty funny when it works but she's otherwise a useless character. She quickly loses to size theft and her winning moves are almost entirely luck based. If I have 4 cards and I can play 3 of them that will burst the other character if I can play them all together then I lose because the instant the opponent hits their victory size I can't play my other cards and she should be the one character that gets to do that. If I wait then they pass the required height on their own and I lose anyway. If we are forcing her to play one single card to win once the opponent is close then there needs to be some kind of feedback before we play the card. If we will lose by growing the opponent then it should either say so or give a visual indication that it will do so. If we will win by playing the growth card then it should say that's a winning move. If my math is a few inches off it could mean I lose the game, and I have. Several times.

Any of the growth-focused characters are just food for theft characters, especially Eva. The only exception is Ally, who gets bonuses for being shorter. Eva starts HUGE and has no downsides AND her deck is crazy. The other theft characters don't come close, even Sasha inevitably falls behind unless she gets lucky. There are ZERO characters that improve the SHRINK mechanic. Change one of them to get 50% of lost height transferred to you or something similar. The shrink cards have nothing that boost their effect currently.

All of the other growth-focused characters need something else. There's almost no reason to pick a character like Mira. All you're doing is donating your height to a theft character.

Vixen doesn't seem to get any benefit from gambling even though it reads like she should. If she does then it's not noticeable enough. She's clearly a gamble character but her deck only uses this on coin flip cards.

Steph is pretty much useless as her deck doesn't contain nearly enough multiple trigger cards. I don't think I've ever lost to her except with Elizabeth but she's basically a beta test character and I don't count her. She needs cards that stack the number of times something triggers. She should be a snowball character that needs to be stopped before she can start looping her multiple trigger cards

Elli has resisance to theft and I feel like her deck doesn't reflect her identity. There should be cards in her deck with counters to theft and boosts to reflecting opponents' growth.

Quinn needs an additional effect if she's going to keep up with how strong Eva's deck is. Sasha probably just needs some numbers tweaked. Compare their decks with Eva and you can see the gap in power.

Eris is the only thing that hard-counters theft and her ongoing effects are not communicated to the player well enough. When I play against her I have to scan the log to see if I can shrink her or not and sometimes I still can't tell. She needs an icon above her head or near here model clearly showing what she has in play. Probably my least favorite character to play against simply because I don't know what the ongoing effect is half the time. Also, playing her froze my browser more times than any other.

And what height do characters start at??? Some of them start at 5'3 others are over 9' tall.... It's not critical information but it would be nice to know before picking.

Side note, can we credit these girls? If we are going to use their GIF's, I assume without their consent, the least we can do is credit them with a link to their socials. If that already exists then it's not obvious enough because I haven't seen it. A "Credits" page is all we need there. I would also like an option to pause their animations. Not that I don't like them bouncing around but it's a short loop and sometimes I just want my screen to stop moving.

Since nobody else posted how to unlock things I'll do it....

You have a cursor on your turn. If you tap the window when the giant girl walks by you unlock her. She stops being giant when she plays. The other girl that comes in the room sits on the other bed and you just click her.

Both these girls have big feet and stick them in your face depending on their position.

There's a globe overhead that I thought was a decoration but that's the Earth stage. If you flip on the TV then you get a picture from InkGirl's unfinished game Shrink Poker and unlock the stage to play on a giant poker table.

I didn't care for either of these stages because they ruin the vibe the hotel room set and blasts music the whole time. This wouldn't be so bad if you could adjust the volume in any way, but there's no volume slider or mute button I'm aware of.

-----
I can't help but feel like there was supposed to be some kind of interaction after the game ends; like the ability to walk around the bed if you lose. The main character, the Genie lady, sort of implies that you can do something once you lose in the Story mode, "You should have stayed small longer" or something like that.

I really feel like the poker stage in particular was a missed opportunity. I got excited seeing the poker screenshot thinking there was a hidden mini game where you can play shrink poker, but it's just a stage with, as far as I found, no interactions. I would have liked to explore the stage a little since it has so much going on but it's essentially a skybox with no interactions. Even seeing the giant poker lady move a little bit would have been a welcome addition.

I have to praise the game for not only featuring Hearts, an underrated card game imo, but also being a sort of betting game where you "wager" your size, and there are not enough of those. The rules customization is very good but the distinction between "hand" and "card" could have used a small description. It's essentially asking if you want every heart/queen the winner of the hand takes to be counted or not. You can reposition the characters and even play with multiple of the same. I like that there are 3 height options, even though you are a ghost with no body, it changes your default camera view. Tall is the default and I felt like I was towering over everyone by default and I'm happy I could change it.

IDK what it is with the character models, if they have poor topology, flat lighting, or aggressive render denoising, or something else, but the features get muddied/incoherent to the point I don't know what I'm looking at on a character sometimes. Perhaps cel shading or adding more defining lines to the characters would fix that. The unfortunate part of that is the (otherwise cute) character models have body parts that can just look like a blob of a singular color instead of a foot, breasts, or legs for example.

I like it.

I'm firm on my critiques but at the end of the day it's a size fetish game featuring the card game Hearts and I find myself coming back for a few games in my spare time. If this game was a little more fleshed out and had some much-needed quality of life changes then it would be fit for the Steam store where I could recommend supporting the dev and picking it up.

I enjoyed it more than "It's On the Mouse" which you CAN pick up on Steam. I hope they come back to this one or at least try something similar. That Shrink Poker game certainly isn't going to get completed, as Ink stated, and as I said there's no overabundance of betting/chance games where your size is at stake.

There's a magic this game captured in a hotel room with stormy weather and shrinking women that I haven't seen before. It's a good vibe.

I have to give it a 4/5

3/5 if you don't like Hearts

2/5 if you aren't into size fetish stuff either, but if that's the case why are you here?

The only way to progress effectively is to gamble at the market, and there seems to be a 50% chance of getting nothing at all. I rolled 3 nothing's in a row at the market.

There needs to be other ways to progress; promotions at work, stamina upgrades, and so on....

Also, the muscle growth pics seem to be out of order? The first pic of her is incredibly shredded and it seems like she gets less buff with the other upgrades. I only made it to about 200 muscle before I quit.

Delete Theo, or whatever his name was

Love love LOVE the icon for sprinting or walking now. The new icons are adorable and I can't wait until I have time to see what else has changed but I just took a peak for a little bit and was very happy with the update.

She should be around the dockyard near the entrance

Found a crash after clearing the farm. I ran into a Bigbarian right after I planted seeds and got this crash.

Update, I DID manage to recreate the FATAL ERROR crash the other commenter made.

This was AFTER putting in the command you suggested and saving. I put it in again on a new load and crashed in a dungeon. I reloaded but this time did not put the command in and was able to play uninterrupted for several hours.

So far that's working.

Thanks, Digi, I'll reply again if there's any other issues.

I'm starting to get this crash

You also have to be "sprinting" which is dumb if you're 10 times their size but that is still a thing for now.

The map has grown a lot since I last played and it's good to see the game progressing. The game still gets low FPS for me in the overworld but runs buttery smooth in dungeons like the sewer.

I just have a few suggestions or quality of life changes I'd like to see.

I stand by my original suggestion that new areas should be locked behind size. The NPCs and enemies in the new areas become bigger and so does the buildings and terrain. It would give the game some sense of direction since it's all one big world right now, and it would be jarring to be "normal sized" around other macros and then feel gigantic when you come back to the starting area. New areas would probably have to be in a new instance to save on resources, otherwise it could be taxing on performance rendering all that in at once. Save point travel would really be useful here.

Before anything like that can happen though, the terrain seems to be difficult to traverse at times. Slight hills or bumps in the terrain, that should be easy to walk over at my size constantly stop my forward momentum and I get stuck. Trees seem to be an issue as well with this but those seem more like that is by design and meant to encourage the player to find an alternate route past a certain size.

Getting challenged by a tiny when you are colossal is still an issue. You can easily step on tiny enemies, but only if you are sprinting. I genuinely have a hard time knowing if I'm sprinting or not at larger sizes. It takes a few seconds to gain momentum when you are a macro and before I know if I'm sprinting or not a tiny wants to fight me.

You should be able to just step on them regardless of sprinting or walking. An option would be nice, or at the very least a small UI indicator if I'm sprinting or not. This matters when I chug potions for the next fight or get a temp buff that I don't want to waste.

Speaking of stomping, I don't expect humans in game, but humanoid feet to go with the hands would be nice. Stomping enemies is a big part of the game and it would just be nice to have more feet options, maybe a 4/5 toe variant option. Basically the default foot without claws and footpads for more cosmetic options.

Also, why is my macro character not heavy enough to withstand some wind? It seems like fat shouldn't be the only determining factor in that.

Side note: If "Growth RPG" is a working title, Size Contest could be a potential name for the finished game, since that's more or less what combat is.

That's all I really have but I'm loving where this is going. I just see a lot of potential with size taking the place of a hard level system. With a game based around growing, it would make sense if Size=progression. Right now that's not really the direction and maybe it's not intended to be. Cities, dungeons, NPC's and enemies, and sections of the world would have to be rescaled so maybe it's ambitious. Instancing these areas apart would have some tradeoffs instead of having one big open world like there is now. If that's possible though then the final version of this game could be something truly memorable.

I hope this gets changed,it is really inconvenient getting stopped by a tiny you didn't see.

A macro late game would be neat. You gain access to a new area filled with other gigantic characters so you feel small again. Macro dungeons, quests, mini games, etc.

Some quests could involve going back to the starting area and it would be jarring to be so huge again. Kind of like big and little world from super Mario 64.

You mean like a Let's Play?

There's one on pornhub but I haven't watched it

Shockingly fun game. Seeing the bandit boss for the first time gave me a great idea for more content....

A macro section you can only reach by stepping over a huge wall. Once there it's a new town filled with macros and you feel small again compared to everyone else at first.

I thought that's what the bandit boss was when I was tiny but he's by himself over there.
