I certainly don't mind, in fact, thank you very much. It's just that it isn't the full game. Still, heartfelt thanks.

I thought I had already thanked you for that tip. Thanks a lot. But I could use another piece of advice, if you're able to help: I'm creating a game a .d64 image containing the level and title .prg files, and I'd like to pack them into a single file (perhaps in .crt format, or just a single combined file) to reduce load times. Maybe you could lend a hand, if you have the time and inclination. In any case, even if you can't, you've been a huge help... thanks, and all the best.
Hi, and thanks for the kind words.
I decided to include a pause feature to give the player plenty of time to choose their preferred strategy based on the situation. I also wanted to try something different from the usual "charged shot" mechanic. Thanks a lot for the suggestions, by the way. Note: the October issue of *Zzap!64* magazine will include a much more up-to-date beta version of *Scartarix*. It will feature the title screen, the high-score table, and the first level, complete with graphical and gameplay improvements.
To try and address the control issues, I’ve added a new control mode I call "Inverted." The logic remains the same, but to shoot, you have to hold the button down (activating autofire); releasing the button pauses the game, allowing you to select a weapon.
If you feel like giving it a try, let me know if this setup works better for you. Cheers, and thanks again.
Hi, thanks a lot for the compliments—I really appreciate it. Regarding the pause feature: it’s not a bug, it’s intentional. If you download the instructions, everything is explained there, including the "absorber" function and the N.O.G. system. Anyway, to avoid constantly using the keyboard—which gets too complicated—I decided to use a continuous press of the fire button to enter the firing configuration selection mode. When you hold the button down, the game pauses, giving you plenty of time to choose your preferred strategy by moving the joystick in one of the four directions. If you hesitate too long between presses, the Commodore detects the continuous hold and pauses the game. If you aren't careful, you might hold your finger down too long and the configuration will change on its own. It takes a little getting used to, but once you do, it runs like a charm. Read the instructions carefully; they explain everything. Let me know how it goes. It’s a beta; if others have the same issue, I can extend the time required to trigger the pause—I'll see. Thanks for the feedback. Have a great day.
Thanks a lot; I'm really glad you enjoyed it.
As for the pause, it’s not a bug but a gameplay choice. It breaks up the action a bit, which some players might not like, but it gives the player the chance to calmly choose their preferred strategy for the moment. If I have enough memory left, I’ll add options to let players choose how they want to select their weapons, but I’ll have to see if there’s space once the game is finished.
You’re not just anyone; you’re someone who has taken an interest in my work, and I thank you very much for that. Those are excellent suggestions, but I wanted to create something that deviated a bit from the classics. In any case, I have significant space constraints, so fitting everything in is quite a challenge. Thanks again, and I hope you’ll follow the project. Live long and prosper...
Hi Sparky, thank you so much for the kind words and for buying the game. I really appreciate it. I don't know if you've seen it yet, but I'm working on a new game, Scartarix. I'm building it with a different, much more complete program. If you go to my page, you'll find the project page where I periodically post a video update on the progress. I should be able to make a new video on Sunday. I'm Italian, so the video is in Italian, but if you turn on subtitles, you can still follow along. I'd love to hear what you think. It's still in its early stages.
Buona serata.
Thank you so much for the wonderful compliments. I realize the game is a bit difficult, so I set it to the lowest difficulty. The problem with SEUCK is the limited memory available for enemies. I didn't want it to be too short, so to make it a little longer, I increased the number of hits per kill. I'm currently working on another game called scartariX. Check out the videos I've already made available on my ITCH.io, and I'll be releasing another one soon. It's not made with SEUCK, but with a full program, so there will be much more and more enemies on screen. I'm Italian, and my videos are in Italian, but if you use subtitles, you'll understand perfectly. Thank you so much again.
Wow, I did what you said. Everything seems to have worked perfectly. I don't have a way to test it on a real Commodore 64 with KungFu Flash right now, but I'll try this evening or tomorrow. Thanks so much for your help. I hope it works well, so I can replace the original file with this one. Have a nice day!
hello, sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately the basic seuck releases a d64 file with 2 separate .prg inside that an original commodore cannot read in succession. I tried to solve it, but for the moment I have not succeeded. The .d64 must be run by an emulator like the vice. To play it on the original c64 you need to load the .tap version with a special reader like the TAPUINO. I apologize again, I will try to solve it again.
hello, thank you very much for the nice compliments! No, I used the options of the SEUCK base for commodore 64. Thanks also for the advice, but I make games to have fun and above all to have fun, raising the price does not marry my philosophy. However, if others will give me this same advice I can do it, not to earn money, but so that others can play it and tell me if they liked it. thanks again
