Even the dialogue is about someone being too lazy without knowing they'd miss the chance to say goodbye. :,)

I like this one a lot. It really gives lazy in its own unique way.

cant properly rate this game yet as i have to get another player to see its full potential

Glad you like it <3

We've got an inquisitive one here

I love the poetry, the visuals, and everything. My rate averages 4 stars.

Im gonna be honest here.

For fun, I'll say 2 stars. I had no idea what to do for most of it, it was kinda buggy, and I think I reached the end without knowing it so i ended up flailing around and giving up. Needs a way better tutorial. Also, imo, the keyboard controls are very weird. You should use space for jump and use the mouse for throwing or smth, or at least let players change controls, but this is just a personal preference.

I'd say 5 stars for originality. I've never seen a game with these kinds of mechanics, and they could be used in really cool ways. Just needs a better tutorial/practice spot to learn them.

For how good the theme was incorporated, 1 star. The game has nothing to do with being lazy, except for you doing all the work for the cookie, in which case, cookies are non-sentient objects and you're basically going by yourself. All you really did is slap what appears to be a face on the cookie, and that's the whole theme of the game in one face. Otherwise, it doesn't really feel alive at all. It's a good game, just doesn't really follow the theme.

Lastly, it's nice to look at, i guess, 4 stars on that. Nice backgrounds and color scheme I guess. I don't really pay too much attention to how a game looks (unless it's impressive like truly) cuz i care more about the play and mechanics and stuff. Also, cool intro too.

All in all, it averages out to 3 stars. Good. 👍

if you wanna make a roblox game join a roblox game jam, not an itch.io game jam lol.

I actually never really thought about the violent part lol thanks!

You could definetly make it faster between customers coming because at first i was spamming buttons and couldn't figure anything out.
(no but wait it says so in the description im dumb but some people dont like to read so explain visually)

Definetly needs background music.

Also, nobody really knows what a "normal" cookie is. No normal person eats plain cookies lol (no offense if anyone does), id say plain cookies as opposed to normal.

I also dont really get lazy from the game. It doesnt feel lazy.

The tutorial text isn't really nesecarry if it doesn't even explain how to play.
You should put something like "drag the cookie jar to the goal" at least.

Also, kindly, you shoudn't join a game jam if you can only make a tutorial before it's over.

It's a bit hard to rate this because it's smack dab in the middle of everything for me, but I do like it. Even though it's short and has 1 level, it feels pretty nice. The only thing is, after a couple of plays, the game gets pretty easy to beat without jumps. You dont really need jumps. Also, it might be better with more levels.

Or just Wawa

this game is way too hard make some easier levels at first

Edit: okay you need more than one sentence:

Put the easier levels at the beginning. After reading the comments, I'm seeing a lot of people warded off by the first few levels, despite one saying the later ones are easier.

If the levels at the very beginning are way too hard and look impossible, what do players think is still left in the game other than hard rage impossible puzzles? Or you could, at the very least, add star difficulties.

I know it's in the order of creation, but you need to put it in order of difficulty instead as to not ward off players, and also maybe get more playtesting for the harder ones and make there a tiny clue as to how to beat it.

Adding onto that, you need a much better audio experience. You need some music, maybe a move sound effect, and an eat sound effect. If you used Godot and put music on autoplay, I think Google and other browsers don't allow that, so you will have to play it with code.

Trust me, once you add this stuff, average playtime might double, or triple, or whatever you think is gonna happen.

This was really fun, hard, annoying, stupid, i hate, hate,

Really cool game but so hard lol

Wow, this game is so cool and creative! I love The Creature Of The Forest, he's so goofy.
And Thingy I guess.
Can't wait for part 2! Unless it's already out! I have to check! I'm pretty sure it's not!

https://404foundwawa.itch.io/four-petal-sun

Four Petal Sun is a short and wholesome point-and-click story game made in a week for a school project with some updates coming after. If you like short stories or you're too lazy to play a skilled game, give Four Petal Sun a try.

(I've advertised this game a couple times if anyone's getting annoyed I can stop if you guys want lol I just seeing how many people will play)

it would kinda be a game where you code to disable cameras and alarms and open doors and stuff, and one person would be fighting and the other would be hacking ,and there would be 1 player support.

so basically you would be a character that would be going through rooms and making scripts to do things like disable cameras, activate/deactivate alarms, turn off guard machines, and stuff like that, and its 2 player (with 1 player support) because i always imagined one person doing the hacking  and one person fighting off enemies for the other person so they can code.

there would be a 1 player version yes

yeah it would be 1 player at first now that i think about it

Godot exports web files, so maybe you should make a web version that you put in there just so people can try maybe like a demo that lets you try the main part of the game but if you want the full version you gotta download it but you can test on web. Never played the game so if im just dumb thats why.
Cool idea tho huh

I always imagined it with one person typing the code and another defending them by fighting off enemies and stuff but it can also be played 1 player

This may or may not be the last time I advertise this game through this forum, cuz I got some of the players I wanted.

Four Petal Sun is a short wholesome point-and-click story game about a flower that wants to see the sun. It's free, and available on your web browser, Windows, Linux, and Mac (I've never touched a Mac tho so tell me if it works)

If you like short wholesome stories, point-and-click games, or you're too lazy to buy or play a skilled game, you should try Four Petal Sun.

Okay so basically I'm making a game in Python using PyGame about coding with Python. Its a pixel game but also not a pixel game because the characters are made of text and also the terminal looks particularly non-pixelated. Its a 2 player game.

How much would you guys pay for a gane like this? Would you guys even play it for free?

Edit: YO GUYS im entering this game idea into a competition for my school so that i can see if i can win.
Here's my pitch:

Coderoneous is a coding game where you use the coding language Python to navigate through a computer with the goal of saving your computer city, function(), from a virus called 00WERK674.

In Coderoneous, you don’t learn through quizzes and questions disguised as a game, you learn by actually doing. You hack your way through rooms using functions to disable cameras, open doors, activate/deactivate alarms, delete robot security guards, and whatever your mind can think of; the terminal is yours to explore.

It can be played either solo or with a friend to protect you, with one person coding and another defending the coder with script-based attacks to stall enemies.

You start with simple guided commands in the beginning levels to full on professional-level scripting puzzles during the final levels of the game.

The terminal, the main way of progressing in the game, directly executes Python code in a safe environment, only permitting certain necessary and safe-to-run commands and built-in functions for some of the tasks you need to complete.

In the end, Coderoneous is a game where you learn to code to save the city of function()—and the rest of the world—from the dangerous virus called 00WERK674.

Aw thank you so much!

Knowing that people like my game (and made FANART for it I GOT FANART YAY) makes me feel so good.

You being able to repeat the tasks was something I noticed too, but I left it just in case someone needed to reread something.

Also the way you expected it to turn into a horror game is funny because when I originally came up with the idea, I was like, "I want it to look really scary and look like a horror game but no jumpscares ever end up happening and it just has a happy ending," and mission accomplished lol

I was also showing my family the game, when my dad scrolled down and saw this and he's like, "who's this?" And I was like, "Yo someone played my game!" And he clicked into the post and saw the fanart (which looks like a masterpiece) and started freaking out over it my sister was like"YOU HAVE A FANDOM" it was so funny

And, yeah, thanks for playing it means a lot to me. :)

What if there was a game jam out there for people that are new to itch.io specifically? Or people that are new to game dev, or new to a specific platform, just a game jam for people that are trying something new that they haven't done before? That would be amazing, giving new devs a chance to win.

Try out my flower game maybe? Its a school project, but I kinda wanna get noticed. Thank you for this topic, too.
