I played Errand Knight Co for about ten minutes, I think, and the main thing I want to highlight is the excellent sense of humor. Escort a chicken. Escort a ghost. I don't know what the heck I was doing, but it put me at ease in a joyous way.

The nature of the combat is strange to me, but seems very distant from it all. The system does all the combat but I make occasional funny choices? I'm not sure I get why the combat is really shown at all. It almost feels like it fits in a different game. The combat at its best is still more pedestrian than the least of the humor, which is consistently excellent.

Really impressed me conceptually. I'm not used to combining shooters with drawing speed. And it was fun! And the music did pump things up at just the right moment.

My main question is about interface. For the drawing, I kinda wish I was playing on a touch interface.  I don't like the mouse for a drawing implement. But even to navigate at all, I was using WASD, mouse for perspective, mouse click for shoot, and mouse draw for special powers. It got a bit confusing to (for example) use the same control for perspective changing and drawing. And I see no reason I couldn't have used, say, space bar or X for shooting. I suspect perspective shifting will matter more later, but in the limited amount I played, I didn't really need it. I'd have rather had it auto-zoom on the character and shift perspective as he moves.

Overall, I had a ton of fun in a short period of time. Just as you don't play puzzle games, I don't really play shooters, but I respect what you did, and would play more. Might still. :)

Leaving you a five star review as well.

As a fellow pipe game creator, as you called it, I want to ask about the purpose and difficulty of the pipes in your game. I only played about ten levels, but the pipe manipulations struck me as trivial. There were no meaningful choices. I know your game goes for quick laughs, so maybe that's okay. There were more pipes as time went on, but not cases where I had to either move quickly (reusing a pipe) or pick between two paths in an interesting way.

If you're looking to up the pipe difficulty, I would suggest the "move quickly" route for your game. Create paths where a pipe has to be used two times, facing different angles, and you need to click at the right time to switch it. That seems to fit the game and could be quite fun,

Thank you so much. I'm going to use a lot of your input.

Specifically:

- I wrote for phone first, so I can see how those buttons can be excessive on web on PC, where almost all the itch play takes place. I can definitely resize.

- I never considered input to remove the need to drag when there is only one possible move. Mind blown! I'm curious how often that takes place as the game widens its lens to different kinds of boards, and if it's often enough to use as a feature. I really hope so. I like UX friendliness.

- Skipping animations. There is generally a skip button. But I'll make all input activate it.

- Background music. I know, I know. And I don't know the first thing about how to generate or find it. :-(

- I haven't heard before that the fan is confusing. Do you think it's possible I run that animation too quickly?

I'm glad you liked the magnet system. Feel free to come back any time if you want to play more than you did. Mastering the magnet system is essential for navigating the magnet board.

If you want to leave a public comment or rate, it would also be appreciated.

I'm going to add that in the next build, thanks to your feedback.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed.

I've been thinking of adding music to my game...

Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed.

Thank you so much! That's really generous. I do work hard to make sure that each of them requires a new fun insight.  All feedback always welcome.

I suspect I see the cause of the lag. Will upload a fix ASAP.

Ha. Fun to dream.

If you have suggestions, this is a brand new solo dev project from a noob. I can change nearly anything (that I can technically manage) without shame. I have no idea what I'm doing.

I really, really appreciate this! I made it available yesterday and I didn't even know anyone would find it. You made my whole day.
