goodest boy doctor :3 (I do wish the time limit was a bit longer tho - I kept getting stuck on the trash chute trying to make a disposal)

The settings don’t seem to work - when I set it to 1600x900 and windowed, it definitely lowered the resolution, but instead of windowing, it just put black bars on the screen.
I liked the premise and the execution overall. Space-themed “Papers, Please” is right up my alley. I was definitely a bit confused on how to determine who’s fake though, since I wasn’t getting any credential documents (just ID and passport) but it was kinda funny being able to reject someone because their DOB would make them a child or not-yet-alive in 2050 lol
Thanks for the feedback! I actually don’t remember if it was in the build I was able to publish for the Jam, but I did add (or at least intended to, if it’s not in this build) an effect where shocking people increases temperature, so there’s a bit of give-and-take management where you have to decide if it’s worth it to kill every spawn or just try to rain as much as possible. I definitely have plans to add more enemy types and precipitation types in some post-Jam updates tho!
I want to like this a lot, but restarting disabled the left-click ability (had to close and reopen the game to fix that), and it took me >4 seconds to figure out what to do in the lever room that teaches the rewind ability, so I got softlocked twice in a row and gave up. The concept is solid and if these issues could be fixed or tweaked (Also, a way to skip the cutscene if you’ve seen it already, and a way to turn down the volume), then I would totally love to try a full playthrough of this.
Exactly what I was thinking! That dude was totally fine with the cute anthros all the way up until…[shock horror] a…GIRL appeared!
Like, could she have been drawn less busty? Sure, I guess? But also, that’s just??? What some people’s bodies look like??? It’s not like this is some skin-riddled shooter with scantily clad women sold to twelve year olds for 20 bucks a pop lmao
Absolutely adorable game! Don’t let “bytesized”‘s rudeness get to you, this is a masterpiece as far as I care. Great art, neat mechanics. I like how the clues are a little bit obvious, but also totally missable. I do wish the red llines would take into account where on the object they were placed - would have been cool to be able to draw a line from each paw print to the actual feet/paws of the characters in the first case, and from the top of Bug’s head in the diagram to the dog in the photo with Bug and the bunny. Other than that this is a 10/10 and I hope to see this get updated after the jam! :)
Not unless you go looking into the comments! Besides, anyone looking for a way to get Clippy in 2025 would clearly be looking for something at least comparable to his original form, which is very much not how this appears to function, and yours uses AI anyway, so anyone with a moral compass wouldn’t want to use it.
As someone who doesn’t play a lot of horror games (not to get too personal, but anxiety makes me very susceptible to even light horror), but the one liner description immediately made me want to try this one out, and I’m glad I did. I really liked the showcase room towards the end and even had a but of a funny moment with the moving statue - as soon as I saw “Don’t look at me” I was like “OK I won’t!” and turned around to read the sign for the floor plan diorama.
Very surreal experience that felt like reading someone’s diary (with permission).
