Thanks!

It is 😉

Thank you so much! 😉 I really appreciate your support. I’m looking forward to seeing your video and hearing what you think of the game. Please send me the link when it’s ready! 😀

Thanks a lot!

VOID LANCER

A brand-new biomechanical shoot ’em up for the Commodore 64

Take control of the Void Lancer and blast your way through a nightmarish world of flesh, bone and machinery.

Inspired by the biomechanical art of H. R. Giger, VOID LANCER is a new horizontal shooter written from scratch in 6502 assembly for a standard PAL Commodore 64.

Fight through 6 distinct stages, face 6 massive bosses, and build up your firepower with missiles, double shot, laser, Options and a frontal shield.

Expect smooth pixel scrolling, precise collisions, original SID music, an attract-mode demo and increasing difficulty after completing the game.

If you enjoy classic C64 shooters, give VOID LANCER a try — and let me know how far you can get! :)

Ah, now I understand! 😄 I hadn’t read the full text in the YouTube description, so I completely missed that it was a tool-assisted longplay. That makes a lot more sense now! Thanks again for the video, and I’d be really curious to know how you find the difficulty when you try it on your MEGA65 without assistance. 😀

I’ll work on it, I promise! 😀

Thank you so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to make a longplay of the game, and I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😀 Also, great playing! I honestly thought I had made the game quite difficult! ;D

Hi, thank you for your interest in the game. I’ve just added Stripe as an option for credit card payments as well. I look forward to hearing your feedback on the game.

Best, Diego

Thank you so much, that really means a lot! 😊

The procedural levels were the part I enjoyed building the most. Every stage is put together by the C64 itself from dozens of small level pieces, and it's checked on the spot so that every coin, gem and power-up can actually be reached. So yes: never twice the same level!

I'm glad you find it addictive, that's exactly what I was hoping for. The game is free, but if you enjoy it, a small donation here on itch.io is always welcome and helps me keep making new stuff for our beloved C64. Thanks again for playing!

Thanks! Saving the high scores is a good idea, I’ll think about it.

Thank you! Shortly after the release, though, I published a major update with improved music, more types of end-level bosses, some bug fixes, and an English translation.

Thank you so much, I really appreciated your video! When you manage to reach all 4 end-of-level bosses, let me know ;D

DONE! :)

Thanks! I’ll definitely work on improving the music and translating everything into English 😀... and I’ll be releasing an updated version soon, with new and different bosses every 10 levels.
