About me, I’m a recent Computer Science graduate with a focus on game development, and I’m looking for an artist who’d be interested in teaming up to make games together in order to expand portfolios.

My background is primarily in programming, with experience in Unity, C#, C++, and OpenGL. I’ve worked on several game projects throughout university, including projects using custom technology outside traditional game engines. I’m also currently developing my own game engine in C++.

What I’m looking for

Ideally, I’d like to find someone with experience in 2D or 3D art who shares a passion for making games. But I’m not just looking for someone to create assets based on my instructions.

I’d really like to find a creative partner who has their own ideas, enjoys brainstorming game concepts, and wants to be involved in the design and direction of whatever we make.

I don’t have one specific game idea that I’m trying to recruit someone for. I’d rather we come up with something we’re both excited about and build it together.

I’m open to starting small, experimenting with different ideas, and seeing where things go. The goal would be to eventually create and release games we can both be proud of.

A little more about me

I’m based in Norway (CET/CEST), and while my main strength is programming, I’m interested in all aspects of game development. I’d be handling most of the technical side, but I’d want us both to have a say in the creative decisions.

This would initially be a hobby collaboration, so I’m not expecting anyone to treat it like a full-time commitment.

If this sounds interesting, feel free to message me on discord (user: DigitalEngine1) and tell me a little about yourself, your experience, the kind of art you make, and what kinds of games you’d like to create!

Hi everyone!

I’m a recent Computer Science graduate with a focus on game development, and I’m looking to join an existing project as a volunteer developer.

I’m particularly interested in backend development, networking, and core systems programming, although I’m open to other programming roles where I can make a meaningful contribution.

What I can bring

My strongest experience is in game development, primarily using Unity and C#, but I’ve also worked on custom game projects using C++ and OpenGL, so I also have some experience with lower-level programming outside traditional game engines.

I also have some experience with:

  • .NET and Java
  • Databases
  • Android Studio
  • Game engine architecture and systems design

I’m currently developing my own game engine in C++, which is still in its early stages. I’m working on its core architecture and systems, and I’d be happy to discuss the project further.

What I’m looking for

Ideally, I’d like to join an active project with an existing codebase and a team already working toward a defined goal.

I’m especially interested in opportunities involving:

  • Multiplayer networking and server-side systems
  • Backend services and infrastructure
  • C++ programming and systems architecture

I’m not necessarily looking for a game development project either. I’d be happy to contribute to other kinds of software projects where my skills could be useful.

My main goal is to gain practical experience contributing to a real project, learn from working with other developers, and build a stronger portfolio through meaningful contributions.

I’m therefore more interested in joining a team that’s already making progress than starting a completely new project from scratch.

Portfolio and availability

Most of my completed projects so far have been university projects, which I’m happy to share. I can also discuss my ongoing game engine project and its architecture.

I’m open to both paid and unpaid opportunities, depending on the project, its scope, and the work involved. My main priority is finding an active team where I can make meaningful contributions, gain practical experience, and work toward something tangible that I can showcase in my portfolio.

If you're working on an active project and think I could contribute, feel free to reply here or contact me on Discord: Digitalengine1.

Thanks for reading!

Loved the aesthetics of this game. found myself trying to stay alive longer just to hear the music! The shooting style is a nice twist, nice work

Crazy taxi was actually an inspo for the game! Glad you liked it!
