Thanks for reporting this! At the moment, neither the game itself nor the Web build has been optimized or properly tested on macOS or Safari. I’ll definitely add this to the list of things to investigate. Thanks for giving it a try and for letting me know! :)

Thanks a lot for taking the time to play and write such detailed feedback! :)
The downloadable version already includes moving obstacles, so we're definitely thinking in a similar direction there. :D
The other suggestions are really useful too — especially the smooth tail movement and the shadow at turning points. I’ll definitely take a closer look at those.
The strange audio noises are also something I’m investigating now, as they seem to occur in the browser version on some devices.
Thanks again for the feedback and encouragement!
I gave this a few tries because I really like the pencil-drawn visual style, but unfortunately I had trouble getting the game to run properly on my laptop. It seemed to stutter around the start of combat, and I wasn’t sure whether the characters not really closing the distance was intentional or part of the same issue. I did manage to interact with the combat briefly once, but not enough to fairly judge the gameplay. The visual direction is very interesting though, so I’d definitely like to try it again on a different machine.
