then open your OoT install folder and go to where the OoT .exe is

drag everything from the update folder to the install folder, and click overwrite

I would be interested in doing a few different translations eventually, the primary issue is that if I had one made right now, then all new content would have to be continuously translated for the next few years.

So it's more of something I would consider when OoT is approaching completion.

You are very much on the right track with that line of thinking, and if you have the patience to get to the most recent chapters I think you'll find it rewarding.

If you have the Ch54 build, you can just drag and drop the contents of the update folder into the same folder as the OoT.exe, just overwrite everything.

If you have an older builder than that, then yes download the whole game again. Your saves will be retained.

Because it's an older 32bit .apk, and that's the absolute maximum it can be. 

OoT is way bigger than 4gb even when scaled down.

With how quickly those projects and installations update, any hotfix we make would become unusable within a few weeks. There's a reason why you kinda have to do these things yourself on Linux.

We tried having a Linux build, but maintaining it with everyone's own Linux installation was a nightmare and every new Linux update kept breaking it, so we just recommend using WINE or using one of our supported platforms.
