so say you want to win the jackpot, you need 3 lollipops. you only start out with two (unless it’s your second run and you haven’t cleared your browser in which case there’s a bug with persistent variables). if you don’t purchase a third you can only ever roll a maximum of two lollipops at once. when you buy one you then have 3 available so if luck is on your side you now have the ability to roll all 3 and win the jackpot.

you start off with two of everything except the gummy bear which you only have one of

hope this explains it? it’s essentially a list of available items (with multiples of the same item depending on how many you own) and i randomise 3 unique indexes in your list of available items.

idk if i’ve explained this well or not

if you are below the median number of reviews you will have a score reduction. median is 13 at time of writing and you can check on https://itchanalytics.vercel.app/

ty for playing!! yeah the shop/inventory seems to be the point of confusion so i definitely want to add an inventory to view all your available items - which is added to when you buy one in the shop

thanks for playing!!! i def want to add an inventory! i simply didn’t have the time unfortunately and didnt think about showing the money persistently.

it’s been very helpful having everyone give feedback like this thanks :D

thank you so much!! it’s always so nice to hear people pick up on the smaller details :D

unfortunately i didn’t have the time to add in an inventory which would’ve made it much clearer what the shop does - it adds the purchased item to the list of available items to spin. from there its all rng at to whether you’ll get the item. sometimes you may have gotten the new item but only one so it’s rather unclear - definitely the biggest thing to fix in the game aside from lack of audio.

amazing juice and good fun to play! i did feel that the integration  of the theme was a bit lacking.. spinning takes time and you have to spin all the way back to your desk to play so its quicker to just switch to play then switch back to work if a coworker sees you.. meaning i didnt spin to win at all in this game :( good fun nonetheless!! hats off to you mr jerbob

wow people are good at this! amazing game such a blast!! sometimes had issues with the drawing registering but still bloody fun!! great visuals too!!

really hard until i realised i should watch the tail of the spinner rathe tyan the head'' even then it was challeninging but not too hard :) great fun loved the concept, great execution too!

a bit confusing but a nice game within the constraints of the jam :) good job!

i found it slightly unclear what the ammo card did but a cool game nonetheless! shame you couldn't submit to jam

good fun :) tricky if i try not to hit A + D at the same time (rather easy to just spam both though). Solid jam submission!!

thanks! i can credit a lot of that to the ren’py engine (unfortunately i can’t claim to have done any of the ui) which was an absolute saviour for my few hours of free time i had to complete the jam in

thanks!!

thanks for the feedback! i’d love to add audio but simply didn’t have the time

the part about the text pop up is an interesting one! i’ll play test both when i get back to working on the game to give it a bit of polish post jam

thanks for playing my super serious game :D

yeah definitely could’ve been clearer with the shop - it adds the item you buy to the list of things available to spin in any slot but i can see how that’s unclear (esp if rng doesn’t give you your new items often) i’d like to add a sort of inventory to see how many of each item you have in future! (and audio ofc)

i have to say the sketchy art style can be accredited to ms paint lmao - it was nice to make such unserious art after working with oil paints for the last few months

glad you enjoyed it :D

creating anything is a win in my book so congrats for that! especially built from the ground up! a jam is the perfect place to play around with your first JS project so hats off to you :D

never heard of it! i’ll check it out!

thank you! yes i would’ve loved to add audio within the jam time

your game was an absolute banger! mines rather different but here you go!

very nice game! loved the strategy - amazing that you made this in just a week! i didnt realise you could rotate the rings at first, figuring that out added a whole extra level! with just a little juice this will feel AMAZING to play!!

this game is super awesome! my favourite i've played out of all the jam submissions (which have had a very high bar indeed!) great idea and amazing execution accompanied by art and ui that fits perfectly

i think this may be THE most serious game on here.

ended up getting black route three times over (got lucky haha) very cool game! would be nice if the rules were written in a slightly simpler way since they are quite simple. first run i had completely missed that is was 50/50 but thats on me it did say it twice. tumbleweed was my favourite :) interesting to see different things happening each time i ran the game

I had great fun! would love it if you could spin the wheel by using the arrow keys

way more difficult than i expected - may have just been a skill issue on my part

the music didn't seem to be working for me unfortunately, so for me this was just a hold a/d simulator. some fun bits in there like godzilla, mount rushmore and the giant black snake :) i think if there was some motivation to move left AND right you could build off this base and make it a bit more interactive (right bummed about the music not working, the sound effects did though!)

great to hear thanks! i only had maybe 6 hours total to work on the game so i definitely would’ve like to add more juice (+audio!) glad to hear my little ms paint cutscene has brought joy :D
