About the Project

Underpest: No Mercy is a post-apocalyptic Undertale fangame.

Mysterious red flowers have spread throughout the Underground, infecting monsters and transforming them into violent, ravenous creatures.

The story follows Frisk and Flowey as they journey toward the castle in search of the six human souls, hoping to escape the Underground. Along the way, they encounter survivors, infected monsters, and the remains of a world that lost hope decades ago.

Unlike the original Undertale, there is no MERCY for the infected. Once a monster has fully succumbed to the infection, they cannot be saved.

Survival is the only option.

Hello everyone!

We are developing Underpest: No Mercy, a post-apocalyptic Undertale fangame.

This is a volunteer, non-profit fan project made by fans, for fans. There is no payment involved.

In this universe, mysterious red flowers have spread throughout the Underground, infecting monsters and transforming them into violent, ravenous creatures.

The story follows Frisk and Flowey as they journey to the castle to collect the six human souls and escape the Underground. Along the way, they encounter survivors, infected monsters, and the remnants of a world that lost hope decades ago.

Unlike the original Undertale, there is no MERCY for the infected. Once a monster has fully succumbed to the infection, it can no longer be saved. Survival is the only option.

Underpest: No Mercy is a post-apocalyptic Undertale fangame/AU.

Story Context

Many years after the war between humans and monsters, strange echoing red flowers begin to spread throughout the Underground. At first, they seem harmless, but soon they spread uncontrollably, and monsters who come into contact with them become violent, aggressive, and lose all reason.

As the infection spreads, the Underground descends into chaos. Years later, Frisk falls into a completely destroyed and infected world beneath the surface.

The story follows Frisk and Flowey as they journey through this ruined world in search of the 6 human SOULS to escape the Underground, while discovering what happened to this fallen world.

Unlike the original Undertale, this world no longer offers the option of mercy. The infected monsters are long gone, and the only way to survive is to fight. Initial Development

I’m creating an Undertale AU/fangame called Underpest: No Mercy.

This is an early-stage project (not a full game yet — currently concepts and ideas).

 This is a fan project (no payment — made for passion).

World / Setting:

In this universe, red echoing flowers spread across the Underground, infecting monsters and turning them into violent, starving, zombie-like creatures.

In this world, there is no option to spare — the only way to survive is to fight the infected.

Story:

The story follows Frisk and Flowey as they try to collect the 6 human SOULs and escape this destroyed world, while struggling to survive and explore what remains of the Underground.

Infected and Combat:

The infected have distorted voices and broken speech tied to their past memories.

Some newly infected monsters may still retain consciousness for a short time — they won’t attack immediately and may even ask for help.

It is possible to spare them, but this will have consequences, as they will eventually fully transform.

Environment:

Most areas are overrun by the flowers, which can block paths and make exploration more difficult.

During your journey, you can find or buy items that will help you in battles.
