I think its pretty nicely done so far. Ive played a few other games with kind of similar concepts and this one seems like it has some good ideas in it. The main issue though is that the pacing just feels really slow and kinda unrewarding. For example I was on life 8 and it still feels like im spending a lot of time each run doing very similar things as when i started, making a bed, learning to make biscuits, stocking up on food.... i feel like after this much time playing (2+ hours) I should be breezing through the start much quicker... Hopefully you can adress this at some point, only thing i could think of off the top of my head as far as simple short term fix would just be to adjust the instinct system to be a litttle faster, either leveling up faster or maybe getting 1.5% or 2% per level instead..... I dunno, anyways good luck in your development I'll check back at a later date
I dont understand why so many games want to nerf mages, i tried all three classes and they are just not balanced and of course the mage gets the complete shaft, A MAGE CAN USE MAGIC it should not be the shittiest class... anyways, the actual "bot" you use feels weak and i have to micro manage stuff even when im using the bot so i cant afk so there isnt much point in the game concept.. I should be able to set up my bot to do everything for me so i can go afk and come back to a pile of gold and items, the way it is now is the bot basically means i have to do a few less clicks but i still have to pay attention and interact just as much.... also the enemies breaking agro and getting full health instantly is annoying if youre trying to kite, it feels inconsistant and hard to control
Really fun demo, i like all the concepts and everything in the game content wise, the performance doesnt feel great on my laptop with no graphics card, not sure why i feel like with these graphics it should be smooth, also i would like to see some explanation of how you gain more prestige points? is it based on gold generated or time played or things unloked or something else? i dunno, anyways good job
kinda cool i dea, nice art, but its very not balanced at all, it needs TONS of work... as the base unpromoted class i was killing boars no problem, then i promoted to ranger and the boars started kicking my ass, i needed to heal like every 4-5 boars? when i could kill like 15 of them before without healing easy... so my promotion made me MUCH weaker? what the hell? I lost max hp, lost defense, AND lost damage? and the auto battle didnt even let me use my range, the character kept dashing into melee range against the boars ... no thanks
Hello, I really like the concept here , im having fun!
Just reporting a bug, I havent tested with all the weapons yet but at least for the first few i tried, you only need 1 weapon, when you go to equip them in battle you can use 1 weapon and equip ALL your minions with that 1 weapon, and then when the battle is over it adds all the weapons back to storage as if you really had them all. So I can basically just keep selling all but 1 of my weapons, then do a battle, and then i have 6 weapons at the end of battle and then i can sell them and so forth
to be honest i found the game very confusing i couldnt tell if i was doing the intended gameplay loop or not, very difficult to understand what the progression path is supposed to be both in terms of gameplay but also upgrade paths, i didnt really understand a lot of the upgrades, one of the first options i get is just "weapons with augments retain 10% of their damage" or something, like i honestly have no idea what a weapon with an augment is or what it means to retain 10% of its damage, i played for a little bit and still didnt understand it, or most of the things... overalll needs a lot of polish in terms of clarity
i was kind of enjoying the game until rebirth, to be honest tying your ability to rebirth to an entirely luck based mechanic is just plain poor design, youre basically gauranteeing a certain percentage of the people who play are going to have a bad time, im not gonna farm 15k more wishes after i just spent like 20 minutes trying to get a single falling star. It gets harder to make anothe prayer each time so if you fail 5 or 6 times in a row you just lose any interest in continueing to be punished for nothing that was your fualt. All you have to do is change it so that on the fifth or sixth prayer you automatically get one star or something, or make it so your odds of getting a star increase every time you fail so that you are at least rewarded somehow for a fail... or just make it so you just have to pray 5 times and you can restart if you want you dont NEED to spend a star... honestly there are dozens of different ways you could fix this major issue... as it is i just cant recommend the game to others
I didnt really enjoy it, the upgrades cost way too much for how little impact they had, i ended up falling into a routine where i just kept mindlessly shooting the balls aiming for medium power as fast as i could without even watching how they fell because i knew it was gonna take me several runs just to unlock 1 powerup which would only barely increase my income, for examply it took me 2 runs to unlock green balls, ok a ball that increases my score 20% cool, then i start the next run and all my balls are grey, then i finally got a single green ball on the run after that, then when i finally shot the green ball it hit like 2 pegs...so it took me 2 runs to unlock an upgrade that i didnt even see right away, only to have it increase my income by like 0.5% for 1 out of my next two runs...
another example is the teleporter thing took me several runs to unlock that, then i get it and it barely does anything, and then when it DOES catch a ball at the bottom it just sends it back to my laucnher? what the heck it should teleport it to the top so it can keep falling, sending it back to the launcher is pointless it just gives me an extra launch, i can get 6 more launches just by pressing the keep playing button when i run out so its basically worthless
ok so then i gind a bit more and unlock a laser, that sounds cool what could go wrong..... it shoots like 3 times in an entire run and hits a grey peg ever time giving me like 20 extra money each time.... 60 extra money? i need like 10,000-15,000 for an upgrade what is the point of 60 money
in a game like this upgrades should feel fun and rewarding and make you feel like youre getting cool powerups that change things in a meaningful way, they shouldnt be things that you barely even notice, or if you want to make them super weak then make them way cheaper
nice game, as others have said the performance is a bit rough, playing on a laptop with no graphics card works for a bit but falls off quick. it was fun but i didnt really understand how the boundaries work and how the outposts interact with the different boundaries, am i supposed to link outposts together? am i supposed to put 1 outpost around food that is outside the solid line but within the dotted line? cant really tell so i just didnt use outposts at all cause i couldnt figure it out, anyways hope you get it working the way you want it maybe ill check it out again later
I like the concept but its hard to figure out what i should be focusing on without the proper info, how much attack speed do i gain if i focus on dex? how much crit from perception? how much damage from strength? are the weapon bonuses to exp additive or multiplicitive? is it better to use a sword when im training strength or just stick with bow if im an archer build? Felt like i hit a wall pretty quickly, and the reward for my prestige points or legend points or whatever felt very small, im gonna redo the same thing but now with 10% more exp? i dunno, anyways i do like the overall concept and this seems like a pretty solid begining idea but i hope it gets smoothed out for a more rewarding experience
