adorable artstyle and premise, loved it!

not my style of gameplay but regardless of that this is a truly impressive entry, great job!

A very cozy little puzzle game! I enjoyed it. Impressive to include a level editor

hey, i get the feeling this is more of a meme entry, bit for what it's worth it's a really funny one! So good job haha

(1 edit)

Oh wow the shields are really not worth the cost considering they are permanently lost, haha. The game could have used a tutorial or at least the controls explained on the game page, took me one death to realize i could click to shoot. Outside all of that though, a competent project!

The sprite is pretty fun

Pretty good, the visuals and sound design are a standout! I did also get the no health bar glitch so it felt a bit arbitrary haha

Hey, thanks! Yeah i've definitely come to the conclusion that the ball fall counter should have been 3. Hindsight and all. The spawn rates were, unfortunately, completely random because we didn't have the time to implement something procedural. As for the stats, defense determines how much damage you take (it gets subtracted from the incoming attack value), but the rest do nothing. Accuracy and dexterity were meant to play into a miss chance mechanic that we also had no time to implement, and charisma was always a meme stat (because fucking look at them lmao). But yeah, thank you for your feedback!

Thank you for playing and we're glad you enjoyed it! Yeah it's only shown in the tutorial screen so I guess it's easily missed haha

jam sphagetti is a game jam staple haha, good luck!

Interesting idea, though it would benefit from a way to also regain health/candlelights so it doesn't feel as arbitrary. The mood is pretty spot on!

very cute idea, though the platforming physics could definitely use some tightening up. Level design is also pretty good!

Would have really benefitted from a tutorial but the feel of the game is pretty good!

Good spookems, even though I don't really enjoy spooky games I can appreciate the effort that went into yours!

The FOV changes are very drastic and violent haha, but I can see what you were going for here. Make them a bit less dramatic and you've got the bones for something solid here

Thank you so much, that's very kind of you! And yeah haha, that seems to be a common thread lol. Unfortunately we had like, zero time for balancing. Definitely to be accounted for in the future!

We're glad to hear it!

oh damn, pretty impressive for only 6 hours of work, then!

Ah damn, the curse of true randomness. I'm sorry it turned out that way, but glad to hear you found it cool!

Spore was low key a big inspiration for the vibe hahaha! Thank you, we're glad you enjoyed it!

A tutorial (even if only described on the game's page) would really help, I was able to grind coffee but not much else beside drag other objects around

fun little puzzler!

Very pretty art, and neat little puzzles!

Some tutorializing wouldn't have gone amiss, and the mouse is not locked to the game window, but other than those nitpicks this is really impressive for just four days!

A very decent effort! The platforming mechanics collisions could use some tightening up, bug good job getting this much done!

This looks absolutely fantastic! The battle's a bit too fast paced for me to enjoy, but you did a really good job

Could've used some tutorializing, but it's a competent stat manager game!

Very creative and cute!

Would've loved a health bar for the boss but otherwise this is a pretty unique and fun entry!

Genuinely a top tier experience. The visuals, the sound, the dialogue, it all tickles the brain in the best way. Easiest 5/5 across the board I've ever given.

looks sounds and feels well polished! Difficulty's a bit high for me to have finished it, but what I did play (around level 10) was good stuff!

no worries, I fully get the time constraint issue! Great job either way :)

Felt a little too difficult, but looks, sounds and feels great!

The art and sound direction in this is phenomenal, as are the mechanics, very tight and polished! The only detractor for me is the lack of an ending (unless I somehow skipped it?)

The visuals (art style and juice) are peak on this one! A bit too much multitasking for my skills but the mechanics are super solid as well! Fantastic job!

That's fair enough, I wouldn't say it _completely_ kills a sense of progression since the bigger guys are still easier to kill overall, but you're definitely riding a line haha. Still enjoyable either way!

A very competent entry! I enjoyed my time with it. Start is a bit slow but things pick up after the first upgrade or two. I was frustrated by how no matter how many damage upgrades I got, I couldn't kill the base enemies in one hit, felt like artificial difficulty. Also the cowboy flipping is a bit glitchy when aligned with the mouse vertically. But all in all good arcade fun!

Thank you so much, we're glad you enjoyed it! Yeah haha, that's the downside of a completely random system, didn't have the time to make something more intricate, but good to know!

I enjoyed playing through this, got it right the second go around! My only quibble is that the game over sound effect was really incongruous with the rest or the sound design haha. But otherwise well made!

Interesting Idea, I got stuck in room 3 though cause a body kept falling diagonally propped against the spiked wall I was supposed to climb and I couldn't jump on it, kept sliding off
