TL;DR
This game is an absolute must-try, especially with sound and music on.
The story is being told in an understandable way for the reader, and it keeps the mystery.
The graphics look great.
And the story is really interesting, with it being creepy and mysterious at times.
The girls are also quite cute.
Lengthy review
This is all my opinion from the game.
From first opening the game to the menu, I was already delighted with what I experienced.
Normally I turn down the music, but the choice of music for the menu in this game fit perfectly with the atmosphere the game is trying to create. The little scribble sound when navigating the menu is also a delight to my ears, though it is a bit too loud.
Graphics
The background is absolutely stunning, with its warm yet natural feeling. The choice to make the train scene in the beginning a looping video is a great decision.
Alongside the great sound design, it really pulls me into the experience.
0.1
Sadly this quality doesn't always persist through the rest of 0.1, at other points the lack of proper shading becomes really obvious, making the images look flat.
Or the background will not make use of a blur.
Sometimes you can find rough edges caused by a lack of Anti-Aliasing, or the FOV is too high, or the scene composition isn't done as well.
These tiny things can make or break an image.
Though these are all minor things, it's by far not bad enough for me to discredit the game.
0.2
0.2 has a serious increase in quality compared to 0.1.
Most of the issues I had with 0.1's graphics have been fixed, such as the lack of Anti-Aliasing.
However, the bloom in the beginning is too high in my opinion.
UI
With the decision to only show parts of the full text at a time, it really makes the reading of the story approachable for people who can't focus on large bodies of text, also adds to the mysterious feeling.
And the minimalistic yet drawn feeling I get from the UI is also great.
Music / Sound
The music is great, it's not some NCS bull crap, but proper music to fit the atmosphere.
The SFX, such as the train, is also done quite well, making for a more realistic experience.
One thing I have noticed is that the music doesn't repeat smoothly.
Story
The Story is REALLY interesting.
I have nothing else to say except that it's a great read, it's both creepy and mysterious at times.
Girls
The girls are also really cute, greatly designed.
But the extreme breast size and extreme hair colors can be quite weird at times. Such as Skye's full on yellow hair and breast size at certain angles. (Though this is all my opinion on the character design)
That's all I can really say about it 😅
Conclusion
This is a great game with a really cool story and cute girls.
It is definitely a must-try.
I believe the best solution to this problem to be switching to Dropbox or wetransfer.
Both those solutions don't put restrictions on the downloader, but the uploader (W.M) would have to pay for the service.
And absolutely do not choose Google Drive as the main source, as Google Drive is both terrible for the uploader as the downloader, especially for large items.
As of now there are no other download methods, but WM could put it on his Google Drive (which is WAY worse than Mega in every conceivable way, so it's not recommended)
The game size is currently under the 5 GB, so there should be no trouble using mega to download it,
you can make downloading a bit easier by using the mega desktop app (this is not me shilling, it actually made my life easier)
I recently had to fix this issue for another user, so I know what to do.
It does not have the proper permission to run.
So you'll have to give it permission with chmod in the terminal like so
chmod a+x [GAME]/Contents/MacOS/*
however, the person which also had this issue mentioned that this works:
chmod a+x DOGMA/MacOS.app/0.2+.app/Contents/MacOS/*
And then disable the gatekeeper to open the app.
The reason that this happens is because archiving it in a .rar or any other archive formats removes the permissions from the .app file.
This issue is already known by Dia, but I'm not sure if he'll be able to fix it
It works perfectly for everyone else, and everything you need is in the downloaded package.
- What OS are you on?
- What version did you download?
- What EXACT steps did you take to run it?
Also, what does "you can’t opera this application" mean?
Since you said it's the exact wording, I'm assuming it's not a typo.
Just finished this game.
The graphical quality might not be on par with Eternum, but that does not mean it's any worse!
This game is so beautiful, the H scenes were amazingly done, the design of the girls are unique and mesmerizing (especially Lauren, Aiko and Carla 😍),
the story was really well written.
And the ending made me feel quite sad, which is rare to happen for me.
Overall:
how the heck is this not on the popular page of every website!
It's so good.
Just finished playing 0.4.
This has to be one of the BEST R18 visual novels I have ever seen,
you could get away with charging money for this game.
The story, graphics, and character designs are all brilliantly done.
I have never in my life been so immersed in playing a visual novel.
DruidCaell's comment pretty much sums up what I have to say.
Can't wait to play 0.5!
I just wish there is a “Gallery” button in the main menu.
