Sorry it didn't work out, man. Good luck next time!

Genuinely great idea. Crazy how real it feels...

The idea is that there aren’t enough chest  for all the gold, so if you bury as much as possible, then invest everything else that couldn’t be buried, you can max out the score. Definitely needs to be a little more intuitive though. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for trying it out! I ended up adding the bank last second, so it is missing a little polish. If I expand on the idea after the jam, though, I appreciate the ideas for the scoring system.

I thought somebody would lol. Would’ve been a fun idea if I would’ve thought about it.

Great game. I read the first time, so I didn't hire anyone in the first week lol. Overall, really fun game. Had to play it again for my crew to survive. My biggest complaint is that there is no restart button at the end. Of course, it's not that hard to just refresh the page, but it definitely is a good polish to have. Other than that, great work. I can see this getting featured.

Genuinely my favorite game so far. Perhaps one of the coolest little details is that the order is random, so every run is unique. The narrative was also really well done. I enjoyed the twist at the end.

I loved the voicelines. The first one caught me off guard lol. Being able to hit snipes across the room feels fun too. Absolutely no innocents were harmed in trying out the game...

To add to the praise, the voice acting did wonders for this game. The art was solid and fit the theme, and the music choice was exceptional. My only complaint is that I wish there was a little more to do, whether that be a score, simply a longer level, etc. Otherwise, well done

I love the idea behind this game and that you were all able to hang out together. Sadly, I can't figure out how to get this to work. After shift-clicking the first animal, then leaving it with another click, nothing else spawns. If I am missing something, please reach out so I can actually get a better experience and give a better rating.

Yeah, I didn’t think anybody was gonna sail out that far😂. I can definitely understand the stopping feeling a little weird, too. This are definitely some areas so I can improve on.

There should’ve been, but I was just short on time and was kind of just hoping people would just naturally try to escape. There’s nothing to do during the escape face except escape, but after seeing the Stanley parable, I’m not surprised the people stay anyway lol

Nice! Thanks for trying out out

Thank you for the reply! I had considered learning how to do a generators, but I just ran short on time. I appreciate the feedback though.

Dude! I coulda gotten some more ratings if I had edited the thumbnail lol. I'm crying

Ty! No audio definitely hurts for this game, and I’ll try to improve on it next time.

Thanks for the kind words. I wish I had gotten to the sound too, but I had some last second things irl that kept me from getting to it. Definitely will be more prepared next time.

Thank you. And I’m glad you caught the verses lol. My friend Matthew asked to get into the game, so I chose the “ask and it shall be given unto you…” verses and then after put his nickname Matt-the-W. I love putting little Easter eggs like that.

Of course! It’s still a really cool game nonetheless, and it also might just be a skill issue for me.

Fun game. I like the sprites, and the movement felt really smooth and natural. I don't think the music loops, though, which would be a nice feature to add. Also,  I appreciate and congratulate your reason for making this game. The gift Jesus offers to us is incredible, and finding a way to share it in your game is awesome.

Awesome game and extremely creative take on the theme. The gameplay feels a little shallow, but for joining the jam late, this is great.

Awesome game. Short and sweet, but nothing seemed to be skipped. Nice sound, animations, sprites, music, menu, etc. Well done.

I love the art style and the music. I do wish there were some way to judge how long to hold the spacebar, other than feel. Perhaps a few more checkpoints would've helped. Otherwise, impressive game.

Cool game. The sound effects add a lot, and the visuals work really well, too. Personally, I would get rid of the jumping mechanic, as it isn't necessary and looks off. Just set the jump speed to zero. Otherwise, I enjoyed the game and finished it.

Neat game. I like the unique platformification idea and the simple style. If you continue adding to the game, I would add coyote timing (it's basically a must for platformers). The platformification itself also felt a little janky and might require some tweaking. Cool game overall, though.

Of course. Good luck!

I love the idea. Crazy interpretation of the theme lol. My personal recommendation would be to add some difficulty to the game in the form of lives or something like that.

Thanks!

For your first jam that’s insane, though. I didn’t even get to touch sound design. Good luck.

I appreciate it man. Was a ton of fun, and trying out everyone’s games is just about as good.

Thanks for letting me know. There should’ve been a dialogue section that mentioned the dash, but it’s a little too easy to skip. I’ll probably add a timer for the dialogue after the jam is over.

We can all try😂

It could be better, but here's my record.

If anyone else has or does finish Prisoner 39, we can keep track of the times here. Just post your screenshot.

I did it finally! I think I cheesed a section or two, though. I found out you can wall climb with the arrows. If you time the recall right, you can fire the next arrow before you fall. Also, I'm assuming the fact that the arrow pulls me with it when I shoot down sometimes isn't intentional? I actually enjoyed finding this tech. It allowed me to be creative.

It's a cool game. I absolutely love the sound design. The jump mechanics feel janky, though. I couldn't get it to wor

Congrats on the game! My main issue is just that the graphics kinda blurred. It's probably a project settings thing. Other than that, though, neat game.

Really fun game. I spent a good while trying to beat it. I think you just over-tuned the difficulty a little bit, but I love the idea and the feel nonetheless.

I like the idea. The hitboxes feel a little too unforgiving, which is my biggest complaint. I love the sound when you lose, though. Brought a smile to my face and made me wanna try again.
