This is my Zampaniosona, Scream, and they're a Herald of Beef according to a ZampanioSim session supplied with an estimate of what their class and aspect would have been. It's a title that involves a lot more explosions than you'd think; that is to say, still not very many, but... Being a green ferret thing? Watching said green ferret thing chuck itself into a pit of black sludge and swim down to acid trip hell at the end of the world? No, the weirdest thing was throwing explosive roasts at people during the platforming segments.

(that's a joke, I almost don't even want to know what that ending was supposed to be)

remember LABYRINTH

Funny story: Halfway through drawing this, I remembered that the design for my sona actually came from Zampanio.

Not this Zampaniosona I made based on vague memories of when I originally played, the original sona that this is an alternate version of that I've been representing myself with in one form or another for as long as I can remember. Like I mentioned, my memory of Zampanio is very vague because I was a little kid who could barely read when I played it, but I was thinking about it as I was drawing this and my mind wandered to the little animal I played as, and...

Well, I liked to doodle on my schoolwork a lot and I was obsessed for at least a year even after breaking the CD, so I ended up drawing it a lot and I just realized that it's what the design for my sona developed from. That weird knockoff in the corner is traced off of an old math test I dug up for comparison and it's definitely the same character, even if the patterns on the modern version weren't there yet.

Huh. There's still interest for Zampanio? And a "sim" of it? And you found a copy of the game inside a PowerPoint???

I remember a full-fledged RPG instead of something text-based so I don't think ZampanioSim will do it for me in the nostalgia department, especially considering the fact that I didn't know how to read when I played. (but i still somehow managed to beat it? most of what i remember has to do with the ending because it was weird as hell even to 6 year old me) Looking at it from an objective lens, it seems promising? I'm still trying to figure out how to navigate the menu, but what I'm seeing so far looks like it'll be enjoyable when I get it figured out.

Man, this is making me want to find Zampanio even more. Little kid me was a fucking animal and I ended up stepping on my disk, or maybe breaking it in some other way. :( Is there a community hub for this? I've been trying to find any trace of it online and I was starting to think I was remembering the name wrong until I found this.
