Re: Using all the kits. I've purposely tried to design kits that introduce new mechanisms without overlapping too much or contradicting each other. I do want people to be able to pick whichever kits they want, and combine them. I don't think using all of them at once would break the game. It would certainly make PCs more durable, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I would probably recommend replacing Items from the base with Tech from Second Contact, rather than running with both. Aside from that, I think Standing, Resources, Tech, Powers, and even the upcoming Corruption can all play nice together.

So awesome to hear all of this! Event Horizon + Sunshine is a fantastic mashup. Love both of those movies.

I'm so glad the mechanics made things quick and easy. A major goal of the game is just to make it easy to get to the table from all directions--PCs, GM, etc. 

My PCs are digging the sacrifice mechanic too! We've had some great sacrifices--not just the story beat, but a clutch way of overcoming a particularly difficult Danger.
