I'm looking for some writers if you are still looking, science fiction is right up your alley! =)

How would you feel about making music for a PC/artisan keycap brand that is also making lore?

hey — looking for a couple of writers to build lore with us 🌌

TheMorphstar started as a community project and it's staying one. We've got a growing universe — the Morphlings — living in a shared, Star Wars-scale world tied to the North Star, and we're opening it up to writers who want in on shaping it.

What we need help with:

  • World-building (factions, cosmology, the connective tissue)
  • Story arcs & major storylines (with room for smaller side stories down the line)
  • Key locations across the universe
  • Character names & descriptions
  • Item/artifact names & descriptions
  • Dialogue & character voice (Morphling-to-Morphling, or narrative scenes)

What exists so far: a work-in-progress Character Bible, a handful of founding Morphlings (Apollo, Artemis, Cultivar, and more coming), some loose lore rules to keep things consistent — distinct personalities, one shared universe, no rigid canon lock — and a brand guide for the whole brand. The big stuff — factions, cosmology, most of the connective tissue — is still wide open.

What's in it for you: Join as an early contributor and you're brought in as verified Crew — the in-universe faction reserved for actual staff, tied to the North Star lineage. That means:

  • A feature in a future website (in the works)
  • Your own Crew keycap concept — North Star patch, rank chevron, the works
  • Early access to unreleased lore and Character Bible updates before anything goes public
  • Direct input on canon — factions and cosmology are still undefined, so early writers help shape the actual bones of the universe
  • Recognition as a founding voice as the brand and lore grow

This is unpaid, volunteer, community-built work — no gatekeeping, no "senior writer" hierarchy, just people who want to leave a fingerprint on something from the ground up.

We're only looking to bring on a couple of writers for now, so early replies get priority.

Drop a comment if you're interested, or message itsemmallam on Discord to join and get access to the Character Bible, brand guide, and writing rules.
