After also checking it, and also experiencing it. I'm guessing it is probably a bit bugged, though if you press a lot it will pop up... Eventually.

I believe the creator may fix this issue sooner or later

The game broke when I went into the negatives

this is a very nostalgic game, but I can't figure out where I played a game like this. I found a couple of things first and foremost, I would really appreciate it if you add an option to leave the mine instead of waiting for stamina to run out since I have over 600+ stamina and gain over 4x food, so I'm just stuck in there, also wanting to point out when you eat a food and since you know my stats it just goes off the screen, so I have to keep spamming the hammer to just get out and upgrade. Basically set it so my food doesn't overflow my health. This is all a suggestion, otherwise a great game. 👍

I also experienced the same issue when trying to fight an enemy, he just dug underground to avoid fighting
