I have used depth maps a few times to create fog effects and depth of field effects in images. Another thing I'm interested in is the surface normal estimation from a 2d image documented here: https://omnidata.vision/demo/

Yes that is happening to me as well. I tried the stable version instead and it was OK touch wood.

I don't use Twitter anymore but I made a character with Honk #vHONK, very happy with the program.
