Ah! I couldn't figure out the "Shift+Enter". That helps.
For the making maps in pieces, if you're ever looking at it, I think the UI would be nice to have as "make a map to the N/S/E/W" of this one.
This is a large part of what I was looking for! There are two more parts:
1) being able to re-generate multiple times after editing the shape of the land. This way I can get the shape I want and re-generate until the terrain/vegetation/... are what I want. Say a checkbox on the parameters pop-up after an edit, to say whether we might try again.
2) I'd like to be able to make maps in pieces which I can join up afterward. I could do it by editing the blueprint by hand to include the required edge and then filling in. It'd be nice to have an addition to the parameters popup to allow me to say, in effect, "copy the top row of the current map to the bottom of the map to be generated"
Wonderful tool! Thanks muchly!
it's possible to roll a lower number of action points than the number required to start checking for moving to the next age. I'm assuming that this would then happen when everyone ran out of action points. However this is less interesting for the players who run out of action points first, especially in the Primordial age
Two suggestions:
Make "Enter" use the currently set tags, so we don't have to keep the tags popup open.
[very minor] I'd like an option to tell it not to make the entrance into water. I like to hide things at the back of the cave, behind water, as I find that judiciously described water tends to freak the adventurers out, especially when it's getting deeper, or with slippery footing. Oviously, I can just hit "generate" again, but sometimes I really like a cave, and then I have to, clumsily, edit the image.
Thanks for a wonderful little generator.
