Hi! This is my first time posting in this community—and honestly, my first time being part of a game development community at all—so I’m a little nervous! I’ve only just started making games. I’ve been writing, drawing, doing Live2D rigging, and coding for a while, but one day it suddenly hit me: Wait. I should make a game. I should make a game. So I started writing the scenario and putting everything together.
A Week with Tenshi is a sort of… romance? Mystery? Something vaguely in between? It takes place in a fictional version of Korea and follows a girl who spends her time in VRChat. One day, while playing, she encounters a very suspicious cute girl. She insists that you call her “Tenshi-chan.” She is shameless. She is suspicious. And, let me emphasize this again, she is a cute girl. The cute girl part is important. Cute girls are love.
You explore different worlds together while earning a fictional currency called Gold by doing things like cleaning up cyber glitches or working part-time at a cyber maid café. And you can spend that Gold on all sorts of things—for example, going to a cyber water park with Tenshi-chan! (Yes, this unlocks a swimsuit illustration of Tenshi-chan.)
To be completely honest, doing the art, writing the scenario, rigging the Live2D model, and coding the game all by myself has been… a lot! I’ve been going absolutely full speed yesterday and today. And now I finally have a two-minute demo video.
A little bit about me: I’m Korean, so the entire original script is written in Korean. The English text you see in the current demo was translated with ChatGPT, but I’m a little worried about whether the voice, nuance, and overall atmosphere survive properly in English… so I’m even considering looking for a Korean-to-English translator at some point.
And then there’s marketing, which honestly already feels overwhelming just thinking about it!! Ah… this is hard. I’m completely new to game development, so right now I genuinely have no idea what I’m doing… Where am I supposed to post things? Should I make a separate Twitter/X account for the game? I’m sure there are tons of guides on the internet, right? I should probably start looking them up…
I’d really love to meet people I can share game development progress with! Thank you for reading this extremely long, rambling, and slightly whiny post. I hope you all have a wonderful day.
