I am crying. I just got every ending, how could y'all do this to me? This is so crueelllllllllll.

I'm going to miss this story, these characters. I just wish it didn't have to end in tragedy.

I love this so much omg... I love Hope's character so muchhhhhhhhhh!

Ugh and there are multiple endings?! You're evil, so cruel, now I have to play this game over and over to get them all. I WILL get them all!

God... I love this game so much.

First and foremost, I am going to talk about the music because I loved it so much. I spent so much time just straight jamming to this game's music; I'm gonna save the damn OST now. I really love it, as it helps give this game a standout identity alongside the U.I.

I love the writing as Sid as a protagonist. She's such a fun character, and I honestly get her headspace so much. She had a horrible home life that causes her to internalize a view on life that is simultaneously naive/stubborn and rooted in deep self-hatred. Her development into a more selfless person is also such a standout part of this game.

It also helps that you can genuinely see what traits of her personality make her and Val such a good couple. While we mostly learn about Val from the perspectives of others, she feels like a fully fleshed-out character with her own life and story bubbling beneath the surface.

Another thing I must bring up is just the masterful amount of foreshadowing and fridge horror in this game. It's so much fun seeing rather innocuous details slowly get uncovered as extremely important.

This is one of those games I think I'll have to sit with and think about for a long while. Good shit!

Greetings

I'm not Fillipino (American) but I'd be down to help as a background artist and also potentially learn a bit from my experience with your team.

I have my art on my bluesky and Twitter (under the tortoisenotturtle user).

I came for the eye-catching title. Stayed for the writing.

I came-

I really enjoy this novel. I love Fang as a protagonist. That drive to improve at something you've spent so much time on, that frustration at your current level, the frustration you get regardless of if you win or lose, that creeping self-hatred- I feel all of it so fucking deeply, and it makes her such a relatable character.

I can even see a bit of myself in Bouquet, someone who had that same passion and drive Fang did, but lost it once her passion became a job. That feeling of eternally missing out on nostalgic moments and only being left with that hobby you grew up with in the form of a soulless husk tainted by capitalist meddling.

I especially love the use of sound, both audible and written. The announcer is a good touch, I love the audio going with the controller that actually makes it feel like you're watching these two duke it out while you're behind, cheering them on. What gets me especially is the use of onomatopoeia, specifically in how it's used to represent Fang's improvement at the game. I couldn't help but cheer when she got the click-click clack, down.

Repetition is also another key element of the visual novel that I really enjoy. It represents that feeling of being put in a throw loop, that feeling of trying repeatedly to do something and failing, that burning sensation of self-loathing.

I came for the eye-catching title. Stayed for the writing.

HOLY MOLY I loved this game so much.

I really love Louisa and how much her thoughts characterize her! She's intelligent and you can also see the pure anger that belies her every movement. The way the story mentions her father, Ryans, her sister, brother, and members of parliament and such helps flesh out the world. While we don't see them, we don't have to. It helps both sell that this is taking place in an isolated part of the country and that there's a greater societal pressure over Louisa.

Speaking of which, Camilla is such a fun antagonist. I love how she acts as a sort of benevolent and motherly figure to Louisa. She effectively infantilizes Louisa and acts as if what she's doing is within her best interests, and Louisa just doesn't know it yet. She acts as a mirror of what she could become if she married into the Striga family. Someone firmly placed into society's expectations of women who falls for them nearly completely.

To gush even more, I love how we learn about the magic system through the actions taken in the story. There's no sit-down exposition of what networks and magic are; it flows organically as things pop up. We learn what constitutes a network as Louisa gains the trust of the help, Wulfwynn and Camilla offer a showcase of what someone with a stronger network look like. We get to learn of the consequences of using a network from what happened to Ryans, and through Randolph we see how the world naturally reacts to them existing (Camilla using her network to protect Randolph from what seem to be psychic attacks). The inner thoughts shows that Louisa is someone who knows about the supernatural aspects of this world, much more than we would, but is also overwhelmingly out of her depth. It's like we're joining Louisa for a ride in an already established world.

And this isn't even talking about THE ARTTTTT! I love the Triptych style UI, I love the medieval flavoring, I love the little chibi figures, I love the dialogueeee!!! It's all so creative and then Wulfwynn MESSES WITH THE UI SHE LITERALLY POPS OUT WTFFFFF!

The only bad thing about this game is that it ended. I could read, like, SO MUCH MORE OF THIS. THIS IS GOOD SHIT. PLEASE MAKE MORE! I LOVE WULFYWYNN AND LOUISA'S GAY ASS!

Ahem

As you can tell, I enjoyed my time. Plz make more. I will watch over y'alls' careers with great interest.

Thank you! And thank you for pointing out the typos. I knew I was missing something lol.

Very new to game jams, I found this interesting and wanted to join.

I mainly specialize in character design and 2d art, but can also do 3d if needed. I'm looking for a team and promise to be a fast learner and do what I can to help others; I just may need a little guidance.
