I wanted to design the combat with a slower pace, so I wrote the character controls accordingly. Otherwise, the game would have resembled Hotline Miami. Still, I might be able to improve the movement.

Maybe I'm wrong about the genre. And yeah, it's pretty much a rhythm game.

It's a pretty good game. That's all I can say for now.

It’s a great game—kudos to you. If you refine the art style and establish a cohesive theme, it will look much more polished and distinct. The concept is also very original; it feels like a blend of text-based and turn-based mechanics.

If you could simplify the game's interface a bit... also, when I move my mouse over the level selection screen, things quickly pop up and disappear (pulsing). The game mechanics seemed very complex to me; if you focus on the core loop, it could become a really great game, just like Brawlhalla.

why???

Hi! I'm building a team for the upcoming Game Jam. I'm involved in design / coding / story and aim to quickly build a great project with creative, friendly people. I need only a pixel artist and level designer for the tilesets, a person uses Gamemaker engine. If you're interested in joining or looking for a team, let's get in touch!
