So I finished it. The humor is definitely on point, and Alfrodam is incredibly cute (plus a big, intimidating, muscular, helmeted, evil overlord who's also submissive is a terribly underrated idea. Seriously, why isn't that more common smh?) He also seems to be more of a "soft" kind of evil than a hard kind? Like, yeah, he'll brutally slaughter his enemies and he's invading a kingdom for unclear reasons, but he seems to be a somewhat decent boss if his relationship with Stolid and the comment about compensation to his fallen soldiers' families is any indication. It's good, it works for this kind of story.
I also really like Stolid's narration and perspective, but it feels like it takes until the second scene for his personality to really be established. It's mostly in the narration of the first scene which, while funny, is a little too quippy and is at odds with his later characterization as someone a bit more dry. But other than tiny little nitpick, I really did like him and I think his level of devotion to Alfrodam is really sweet. (Also he's an orc, which is always a plus.)
As for Kawaji, he's um... he's alright? There doesn't seem to be much to him beyond being a himbo isekai protag and I get that he's a parody character, but next to the more colorful Stolid and Alfrodam he's more than a little one-note.
I know it's probably not your plan but if you expand this into a full visual novel I would actually rather see a romantic relationship develop between Alfrodam and Stolid. Their talk in the last scene is really cute, and I half-expected by picking the "it's quite sexy" dialogue option for Alfrodam to send Kawaji away so that Stolid could be the one to fulfill Alfrodam's desires but I totally get if that isn't the kind of vibe you were going for.
But yeah, great start and I'm curious to see what y'all are planning to do with the full thing. (Quietly prays for Alfrodam getting tied up too.)
