Just published is_conscious() — a short psychological horror experience that runs entirely in the browser.

Premise: an AI evaluates the player to determine what kind of thing they are. Seven rounds. Five questions each. Thirty-five tests, each designed to probe a quality the player believed was uniquely human.

The AI records performance, then explains:

> The capacity to pass tests does not prove consciousness. Tests only demonstrate that the subject produced the expected output.

Available in English and Spanish. Approximate runtime: 18–25 minutes. Headphones recommended. No download required. No traditional horror elements (no jumpscares, no gore).

The file is presented as a recovered artifact. There is some context around its supposed origin if anyone is inclined to investigate.

Hello everyone, my name is Pablo Roldan and I am a 49-year-old skater and filmmaker from Chile. I am here to share with you the exciting news about our small game development company, Metacapture, and our latest project, Dead Skate.

As a skater and filmmaker, I have always been fascinated by the world of skateboarding and its unique culture. When the pandemic hit, it inspired me to create a game that combined my two passions with a unique twist: zombies.

With the help of my team of five talented individuals, we have been working hard on Dead Skate, a thrilling and action-packed video game that combines skateboarding and zombies. We have launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the development of a playable demo with two levels, three enemies, and two customizable outfits.

As a new developer in the industry, we are excited to bring a fresh perspective to the gaming world and offer something unique and exciting to players.
