Thank you so much for your kind words! ^^
I hope I can always live up to your expectations.
Thanks so much for the support!

Hi! At the moment, the Fusion system is part of CDS’s core mechanics, so there isn’t a direct option to completely disable it.
However, if you don’t want to use Fusions in your game, you can simply avoid creating any Fusion recipes, so they effectively won’t be part of your gameplay.
Keep in mind that the Fusion system is also connected to some interactions such as playing compatible Equip Magic Cards directly from the hand, so completely removing it would affect other parts of the system as well.
I may consider adding more control over this in a future update, but for now you can simply build your project without using Fusion recipes. :)
Hi! Card Duel System does take inspiration from games like Forbidden Memories in some ideas, but we are not directly copying its assets, content, rules or implementation.
CDS has its own systems, mechanics and workflow, with a much stronger focus on customization. You have control over many parts of how the card game works, and the Expansion Packs keep adding new mechanics and possibilities beyond the base system.
We also strongly encourage users to create their own card designs, artwork, resources and visual identity. The idea behind CDS is to give you a flexible framework to build your own card game, rather than reproduce an existing one.
So in that sense, you shouldn't have any particular issue just because some of the inspiration is recognizable, especially if your own game uses original or properly licensed assets, names, characters and branding.
Regarding VisuStella, CDS is mostly self-contained and does not replace RPG Maker MZ's normal battle system, which usually helps it coexist with other plugins. Of course, with a large plugin ecosystem there can always be specific combinations that behave differently.
You're very welcome to try CDS with your current setup, and if you run into any compatibility issue, we'll be happy to look into it with you and work together to find a solution whenever possible from our side.
Our goal is for CDS to be flexible enough to fit into different projects while giving developers the freedom to make the card game truly their own. :)
Hi! Thanks for your question. Do you mean allowing players to purchase individual cards or card packs using real money, for example through a credit card or another payment method?
If that's the case, I'm afraid there are currently no plans to integrate a real-money payment system directly into Card Duel System. This kind of feature usually needs to be handled by the game developer, since it involves external payment services, store APIs, security requirements, and platform-specific rules.
The system can handle the cards, packs, rewards, and in-game logic, but the connection between a real payment and granting those items would need to be implemented separately by the developer.
Hello! How are you?
Please keep in mind that I do share updates with GGG, but they are the ones responsible for processing and publishing them. This is why I usually recommend purchasing the products directly through itch.io, since it is much easier for me to manage everything there and I have much more control over updates and distribution.
In fact, for the Ultimate Gacha Minigame plugin, I offer users the option to link their itch.io account with Steam.
You can do this easily through my official website here:
https://undermax.online/undermax/plugins_steamconnect/
Regarding the Japanese translation, all of my plugins on itch.io are managed in English. Everything related to the Japanese translation is handled by GGG, so unfortunately I do not have direct control over that part.
If you need anything else, feel free to contact me.
Best regards!
We are currently preparing the release of the next major plugin update, and we are also working on some new videos to showcase the new features and improvements, since the last published video does not cover everything that has been added.
To answer your question, there are already quite a few effects available, and this new update, together with the upcoming Expansion Pack, will add even more.
You can already find most of the things you would normally expect to need, such as destroying cards, blocking attacks, changing positions, flipping cards, changing control, modifying Life Points, changing stats, swapping values, and more.
With the new update, we are also adding additional options such as moving cards from the discard pile, deck, and other zones, along with many other new possibilities.
As for Trap Cards, yes. Whenever a trap can be activated, a window will appear asking whether you want to activate it or not.
At the moment, the only trap activation condition is when the opponent attacks. We are considering adding support for situations where the opponent activates a Spell or Trap Card as well, but we have not made a final decision yet.
We do not want the system to become literally a Yu-Gi-Oh! simulator. The idea is to take inspiration from certain mechanics while keeping the system flexible and original rather than making an exact copy.
In any case, I am sure you will be able to enjoy the system perfectly with everything it already offers, especially once the new update arrives in the next few days! ^^
Hello!
Thank you again for reporting this issue.
We have published a short post explaining the situation in more detail, including a temporary solution you can use while we wait for Gotcha Gotcha Games to update the Steam version:
https://undermax.itch.io/spirits/devlog/1665775/important-notice-for-steam-users
We have already contacted GGG and reported the problem, so the official correction will depend on them updating the corresponding Steam files.
In the meantime, please follow the instructions in the post, as they should allow you to fix the translation issue manually.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you very much for your patience and understanding!

Hello!
As far as I know, it should be compatible. However, please keep in mind that some adaptations or modifications may be required to avoid minor issues, for example with the UI.
Also, since VisuStella's code is encrypted, I have no way to inspect it or adapt my code accordingly. For this reason, I cannot guarantee perfect compatibility, as it will depend on how their developers have implemented everything.
Please keep in mind that all of our plugins are designed to provide the greatest compatibility possible, although this is not always possible when third-party code is encrypted.
I encourage you to give it a try and let me know how it works for you. :)
I remain available if you need any assistance!
Best regards, Maxi | Undermax Team
Hello! Thank you for reaching out! ^^
Card Duel System is designed to work alongside the rest of your game without interfering with other systems.
You can keep your current battle system, as well as any other features or plugins you already have in your project, and in most cases you should be able to integrate Card Duel System without compatibility issues.
It has been designed so you can easily add it to an existing project, or even build an entire game around Card Duel System and its Expansion Packs.
If you have any questions or need help with anything, feel free to let me know. I’ll be happy to help!
Best regards!
Hello! Thank you very much for your kind words! ^^
Yes, you can use Card Duel System to create a game in Japanese.
The UI text used by the system is customizable, so you can translate the interface into Japanese and adapt the different labels and messages to your project. The card content can also be created in Japanese.
Just make sure that the font used by your RPG Maker MZ project supports Japanese characters so they are displayed correctly.
So yes, creating a fully Japanese Card Duel System project is absolutely possible. :)
If you have any questions while setting it up, feel free to ask!
Best regards!

Hello! Thank you very much for your message. I’m glad to hear that you like it ^^
Of course, I’ll be happy to answer your questions.
Let me go through them one by one:
- At the moment, there is no direct way to “disable” the Fusion feature, since it is part of the system’s core mechanics. Removing it would also take away a significant part of what makes the system fun.
That said, I could consider adding an option in a future update to disable this feature. However, I honestly would not recommend doing so, since the Fusion system is also used for playing Equip Magic Cards directly from the hand.
Of course, if you do not want to use Fusions, you can simply choose not to create any.
Regarding Trap Cards, they are also part of the system’s overall ecosystem. I could add an update that allows this card type to be “hidden” from the game, which would not be a problem technically, but it would also remove some of the charm and depth from the duels. For that reason, I would not really recommend removing core mechanics.
2. This would be more complicated, since the system was not designed to work that way. Keep in mind that CDS is customizable to a certain extent, but its core structure is already established.
In your particular case, I would consider creating a custom plugin, or at least making a larger, project-specific modification tailored to your needs.
3. Currently, monster attacks do not have individual animations.
However, this is something we had already considered, and it will be implemented in the next major update, which we hope to have ready by the end of the month. This update will also include several new improvements and features.
The more support the project receives, the more features and improvements we will be able to continue developing.
Hello! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
While we always do our best to ensure compatibility with as many systems as possible and provide you with the best experience with as few issues as possible, please keep in mind that perfect, error-free compatibility cannot always be guaranteed.
That said, we encourage you to try different plugins and combinations, and if you run into any specific issue, please let us know so we can take a look and see if we can help you with it. :)
Best regards!
Hello!
I’m truly sorry that these issues are still occurring. I’ll keep them in mind and review what may be causing them so I can try to resolve them as soon as possible.
The more precise information you can provide about the issues you are experiencing, the easier it will be for me to reproduce them and identify exactly where the problem is occurring.
Hi! Thanks for your support :)
Remember that you must purchase the Bundle from the correct link.
/s/199413/card-duel-system-bundle
If you buy it from the current page, you will only be buying the Deck Builder Plus Expansion Pack.
If you need to arrange to pay the difference, we recommend contacting us through our support page. This way we can assist you and provide a faster solution.
This plugin should help you connect Steam to your game and could be used to verify whether the user owns the game on their Steam account. However, please keep in mind that this plugin is somewhat outdated, and I cannot confirm whether it still works properly with the current Steam API.
I would recommend using a more up-to-date alternative that offers broader functionality, such as:
Hello! Thank you for your message. ^^
We are currently preparing Card Duel Studio v1.6.0, which will introduce improvements and new features for the Conditions, Filters, and Effects systems.
And yes, you will be able to achieve exactly what you are looking for thanks to the new system we are currently developing.
You just need to wait a little longer until we finish the update. :)

Hello! I’m glad to hear that you’re enjoying the project, and yes, absolutely!
Our idea is to keep expanding it even further over time. ^^
Thank you very much for your feedback and suggestions.
Yes, that’s correct. We are currently working on Card Duel Studio v1.6.0 and plugin version 1.3.0, which will bring a large number of improvements, especially in terms of performance. We hope to have it ready very soon. At the moment, we are finishing up a few remaining details and thoroughly testing everything to make sure it works properly.
Since this is a major update, it will also include many new features and improvements that we hope everyone will enjoy.
Regarding the option to decide who starts the duel, I think it’s a very good idea. However, we will most likely implement it in the following major update, currently planned for September (plugin v1.4.0 / Studio v1.7.0), alongside new Expansion Packs.
In fact, the graveyard feature you mentioned is something we had already been considering. It is planned for an upcoming Expansion Pack that will introduce the ability to inspect the Graveyard, along with additional Fusion assistance features.
As for effects that trigger when a card is summoned, destroyed, and so on, that is also something we have considered before and plan to introduce in a future regular update. In fact, one of the ideas we already had in mind was allowing each card to have its own custom attack animation, so we may implement these features together.
Regarding the ability to add more than one effect to Magic and Trap Cards, you can actually already do this. In the current Studio update, we significantly improved and expanded the Effects and Conditions system, allowing you to create entire sequences of effects and conditions in the way you want, giving you much more creative freedom.
Reviving cards and summoning additional cards directly from the Deck are also features we have already considered, and they may be introduced in a future update or Expansion Pack.
So there’s no need to worry. This project is very important to us, and we intend to keep improving and polishing it as much as possible so that it can cover a wide range of possibilities.
That said, because of the complexity involved in developing a system like this, the care required to make sure everything works properly, and the limited development time we sometimes have due to everyday responsibilities, we always do our best to provide the best experience possible. ^^
Hello! We need you to provide us with more context so we can help you.
Which version of the plugin are you using? Are you using it in a clean project or in an existing one? Could you provide the full error log from the console (F12)?
We recommend contacting us through the support page so we can analyze your case and help you more accurately.
Thank you!
Hello! Thank you for your comment.
I’m glad you liked the plugin and that it has been useful to you! :)
Of course, let me explain. The plugin already includes plugin commands so you can use it normally through events and event commands.
This means you can call it with the corresponding plugin command from any event, or with a normal script call using the following script commands:
For in-game use:
Open: PluginManager.callCommand(this, "RadioSystem", "ForceShowRadioUI", {});
Close: PluginManager.callCommand(this, "RadioSystem", "ForceHideRadioUI", {});
Although this last one should usually be irrelevant, I’m sharing it just in case.
And if you need to call it from another plugin, for example, you should be able to use the following depending on the situation. Most likely, this should work:
PluginManager.callCommand(null, "RadioSystem", "ForceShowRadioUI", {});
I remain at your disposal!
Best regards, and good luck with your project! ^^
How are you, Thank you for your question and sorry for the delay in responding. Thank you very much. We hope we can help you resolve this issue.
Hi! Thank you very much for your support and interest in the plugin! ^^
There isn’t really a “recommended size,” since that will depend on the card design you create and want to use. You should be able to use images in any size and adjust them using the features provided by the Studio. That said, I recommend avoiding images that are too large or too heavy, so they load faster and provide a smoother experience. I also recommend using JPG format to keep file sizes lower while maintaining good compression.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or run into any issues.
Best regards!
Hello! Thank you very much for your comment and feedback! ^^
We are very happy that you liked it, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share these suggestions with us.
I’ll try to respond to each point:
1- Regarding Card Duel Studio performance, you are right that the program’s performance may have been affected as the project continued to grow. We have updated the Studio to version 1.3.0, which should improve performance and provide a smoother experience. We invite you to try it and let us know whether this new version works better for you! :)
2- We are constantly making improvements to the Card Designer, and we hope to add those features in the future while also fixing the issues you mentioned. We apologize for any inconvenience or complications that may occur for the time being.
3- During gameplay, I understand that there may be occasional stutters or moments of lag. This happens because the RPG Maker MZ engine is not primarily optimized for loading resources and 3D graphics so quickly and intensively. Even so, we are constantly working on optimizations to improve performance and make the gameplay experience as smooth and consistent as possible.
4- Regarding the Trap Card animations, we will try to investigate and identify the situations in which this issue occurs so that we can fix it in the future.
5- Regarding the possibility of renaming ATK and DEF Points, we will consider implementing this in the future.
As for adding new mechanics to the Star Guide system, we will see whether we can introduce something more advanced in the future. We decided to use a Rock-Paper-Scissors system because it is simple to understand and easy to use.
6- We have considered allowing monsters to have effects. However, we do not want the game to lose the essence of the original title that inspired the system, where this mechanic did not exist, and we also do not want the game to feel like a direct copy of the current franchise.
We will see whether we can introduce something related to this in the future, but for now, this idea is currently on hold.
7- The possibility of having dynamic fields that use in-game values is something we had already considered. It is very possible that we will be able to add something like this in the future.
8- Regarding the Duelist portraits, this is something we have considered for a feature that we plan to introduce in a future version.
For now, they do not have any additional function beyond helping you quickly identify the Duelist’s design inside the Studio.
I hope I was able to answer all your points!
Thank you very much for your support and trust in the project! ^^
Hello! How are you? Thank you for your message and suggestion ^^
We actually had a similar idea some time ago, but we were unable to move forward with it because of how complex such a plugin would be, not only to develop, but also for developers themselves to use and manage the system.
In any case, we will keep this possibility in mind for the future ^^
Hello! I understand that you are referring to our Card Duel plugin.
Next time, please make sure to add your comment on that specific post so we can keep everything organized 🙏🏻
Yes, of course. You have a wide variety of plugin commands available that you can use to retrieve information or trigger specific actions.
For example, you can activate a switch if the player has a certain card in use, or if they have a specific card in their Vault.
If you have any other questions, I remain at your disposal!
Regards ^^
