Really cool little collection of puzzles! I had fun

I've not seen the CRT effect on a pico-8 game before, I guess that's applied in the HTML wrapper?

Really neat idea! Timed blocks/parries could be cool (maybe I didn't get that far or didn't understand how it worked)

I'd have appreciated a gentler introduction, I'm not very good

Yeah the number blocks got a bit muddled during development, and in the end the only thing they help with is if your paddle gets bigger than 0, so you’re normally better just smashing them. Once I got things playable/working I ran out of time to really refine the mechanics

Good fun! Also really great job with the tiny sprites, that’s not many pixels to make something readable.

Thank you 🙂

Thanks so much 🙂 I had some thoughts for more modifiers (“even numbers score double” or whatever), but I just ran out of time after making it somewhat playable

Thank you 🙂 I like that pico-8 forces some things, helps me not get stuck in making decisions

Thanks for playing!

So stressful for such a small game! I did find a strategy though.

Also I forgot you can do mouse in pico-8

Nice work :)

Liked it! You had me soooo close to giving up though :D

Tight little game and cute character. Also great finish screen!

Really solid game, great job! Couldn't stop for a moment to keep an eye on my tips!

Wow you really fit a lot of detail into the tiny screen! I'd have liked a slightly less frantic introductory level to figure out the slashing
It's nice to find other pico-8 games :)

This is so much better than my pico-8 game! I really liked that the little hints seemed to come up only when I needed them. Nice work :)

I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't that!

I only wish the countdown timer didn't block the view

Satisfying to get a good "swipe"; I'm not sure I understand whether to go fast or slow though

I've no idea where to drag him to... but funky game

Great feeling jump, cute art

I love the crowd :-)

The computer destroyed me...

I can't disagree! I implemented a shuffle bag for spawning the blocks, but it didn't completely fix "droughts". Tuning the block percentages might have helped, but I think the trade-offs between the block types just don't quite work. Still, it's a bit more ambitious than the snake clone I made for last year, and as a second game it is definitely a game! Thanks for playing!

Cute animation, nice cat :)

I really like the aesthetic, nice job. I think I'll have to give tiny a go

Liked it! Very neat and tidy

Clean, crisp, addicting - really nice job!

Fun take in the "snake with quirks" category, great job! Getting the movement just right is oh-so satisfaying... and getting it just wrong over and over again is so maddening! I like the music and general vibes too. I'm not good enough to get past "steady snake"...

I think each level should start in a "safe" position though, some of the starts felt kind-of unfair that you go straight into a wall

I really like your approach to scoring, I had a hard time deciding on wha the "eat your tail" incentive should be in mine. Feels crisp and polished and pretty addictive. Nice job!

Really nice idea, intuitive and fun controls. I had a hard time finding my way around, which I guess is partially intentional. Even an arrow pointing back to the station I think would help you stay oriented, especially with the camera zooming in and out

Nice to see another PICO-8 game :-) The bats really ramp the difficulty, got better when I remembered "brake". Might be nice to have some incentive not to just spam fire all the time, but I had fun!

Nice concept to build from. Some kind of fast-forward would be nice, and it felt a bit unfair that the player starts moving right away with no chance to look/think so it seems you almost have to fail once just to get a look at the level

I have no idea if any of my clicking helped, but it looks great!

Really nice! Dead simple to learn, escalates quickly. Of the "ghost"/"clone" entries I've seen/played I like this one best

Like the concept and the visuals, but like others I really have a hard time figuring out the mechanics - the only solution I managed was one in the screenshots

Liked it! I would have preferred slightly less distortion effect for more visual clarity, but was fun to work through which apples to eat/not

Thanks so much! I’m glad you “broke the game”, it’s in the known issues list 😉 I know how to fix it but ran out of time.

Really nice job! Cute artwork, perfect level of difficulty and progression

Really nice! I wish I'd thought to do the checkerboard floor. The arrow-press sound is so satisfying

Really enjoyed it! Quite a different take to mine. Really got me thinking in snake-space

Really great visuals. I enjoyed the twist/realization

We had similar ideas :)

Teleporters melt my brain

Tricky... is there more than one solution?
