Hey! I'm so glad to see your comment. Ironically, your track was one of the first (if not the first) I listened to, haha. I really liked your bassline idea at the beginning. It seems we had very similar ideas for that part.  I also really enjoyed your motivic development, especially around 1:30. I loved your melodic hooks; they sound memorable, and that's a quality I always try to achieve in my own tracks.

If I had to point out one thing, it would just be the reverse cymbal, which sounded a bit too loud to my ears. But if your intention was to make it feel like a surprising dash from the opponent, I think you nailed it—the first time I heard it, I was genuinely shocked, haha. And about my track... You hit the nail on the head! I was planning to return to verse 1, rearrange the song with the return of the chorus, and finally bring in a very subtle hint of the Freedom Motif (everything was set up in that ending). So yeah, I had bigger plans for the track, but time was pretty cruel to me ^^

In a way, it was great participating in this jam. The time limit forced me to make quicker decisions based on feeling rather than logic. Anyway, thank you so much for your feedback and the time you took to write it! I wish you the best of luck in this Jam and in your future ones as well.

Hi everyone, I'm thinking about joining this jam as a composer n producer, but I'm not sure if I fully understand its format. Is the theme basically open? Is it meant to be a space to find other people who want to collaborate but don't have much experience yet?

With that said, if anyone is interested in teaming up, here is a short introduction:

My name is USU. I'm a beginner composer with little experience working in a team, though I practice consistently on my own.

I love composing tracks inspired by Touhou and DM Dokuro’s work for the Calamity Mod. I'm also quite attached to Edirol sound modules, so you can expect something along those lines using SD-90 sounds.

Hi everyone! I'm USU, and I'm looking for a team that needs a last-minute composer for this Jam. I'm highly familiar with Edirol sound modules, especially the SD-90, but I can easily make chiptune music as well — or even a crazy, fun hybrid of both, depending on the vibe and theme of the game we're working on.

If you're interested, feel free to DM me directly on Discord: k.guma

Hello, I'm looking for a team to work with on this jam as a music producer and composer.

I work with Soundfonts and FM synthesis, mostly sourced from the Roland SD-90 sound module. However, I can easily adapt to the chiptune genre if that fits the project's vision.

If you're interested, feel free to message me here or on Discord, and I'll be happy to reply.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a team to join this Jam as a Producer and Audio Designer. I’m best at creating music for rhythmic Boss Fights, but I can also do SFX and atmospheric tracks if needed.

I usually work with Soundfonts (SF2). I like mixing Saw and Square Waves with piano and aggressive metallic timbres.

My main reference for this genre is Touhou, so if that aligns with your vision for the project, we’ll probably get along well.
